It would seem that a number of clubs have taken advantage of the JobKeeper arrangement to their absolute benefit.

Now you could argue that if the government put in pace a scheme then it is great and we should take advantage of it. Boost the coffers, run a profit and keep folk employed.

Another argument could be that yep it is great but lets be realistic in what we claim, truthful in our submissions and try to maintain some semblance of realism.

We benefited from having games to go to, we all benefited from seeing our clubs open their bar and allowing us to catch up with mates etc.

I would be interested to see a chart of the clubs last 5 years P&L statements compared to this years.

I think there is no doubt many businesses, corporations, individuals, sporting clubs and organisations and not for profit entities have made false claims and will be put under the microscope and the ATO will come knocking on their door.
