In an article announcing massive job losses within the AFL they wrote “Former North Melbourne coach Brad Scott has moved out of football operations, where he was responsible for “game evolution”, and is now head of AFL Victoria as the state bodies become more closely aligned with the national organisation”.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. But one thing is for sure, the financial cost of Covid-19 is going to hit hard.

It's probably due to the two border closures. You have to eat a pie & sauce before the meetings & cant get to Victoria. Makes sense.

Having thought abt it, could be due to both states having their own administrations, but does it mean we miss out on funds.

I heard on the weekend that there is still no decision on the colts.

I heard today that the VFL and NEAFL are merging. this will mean 3 major 2nd tier comps plus Tas. VFL/NEAFL will be a very powerful league and being another AFL driven creation will get plenty of funding you would think. It will cost a bundle to run given teams will be travelling between Vic, NSW & Qld. Is the NT part of the NEAFL?
