BC when you get two evenly matched teams of high end talent playing on a wet night what else do you expect? Were you there?

I found it a highly entertaining game and the crowd was always engaged. When you take into account the conditions these players are having to endure with highly restricted freedoms and not having the training facilities they are used to I take my hat off to them.

I think it's time some people got over their own selfish interests, trade their single vision lenses in for a pair of multi focals and just embrace the game at ALL levels.

Oops, sorry I just felt the urge to respond, back on topic, it was an ok game played a good team against a team that to me is the perenial triers!

As for restricted freedoms and training facilities, these guys are highly paid professional athletes who should be able to adapt to such things.

Spot on BC, it was an ordinary spectacle from supposedly 2 'elite Vic sides' who should be used to wet weather footy living it every week.
I switched over to the cricket at half time as 4 goals to 1 is a soccer scoreline and if it wasnt for the odd Degoey brilliance I wouldnt have even lasted that long watching it tbh!

Would add a video I took straight after the game but I think it's too big for here.

What a shame the centre piece of Australian Rules football isn't being played at Arena Joondalup this Saturday BH. Collingwood could pop in for a 20 minute stroll to get some fresh air if that would be ok with you from Joondalup Country Club and see how it's done.

Yes I've been watching a bit of the poms v windies too BH. The first test was a cracker but I see the poms recovered last night to be 3 for 200 or similar after a shaky start.

Those photos look superb DD so can see where you're coming from. Not so great on TV but would have been terrific live by the looks of it.

Cheers BC, where I was standing in that first shot behind the goals just after I arrived I got a good view of the blokes beer going everywhere but in his mouth when a shot for goal nailed his beer.

Truely you have got to be there live to appreciate the contest. I'll be going to as many games as I can possibly squeeze in.

And here's one just for you BH to cheer you up. Two former Swan Districts lads from the Bronx in Midland carving out stellar AFL careers and a nice property portfolio.

On the front page of Footy Record, published by a Victorian who runs a media company called Crocmedia. :P

Yes that poor bugger who had his beer spilt was picked up on tv and what amused me was that everyone around him to a person was absolutely cracking up except him of course....pretty funny.

You were near where De Goey took his "mark of the year" early first qtr. Should win the award as no one will get near it.. He charged out grabbed the ball, then dropped it & the dickhead umpire paid the mark.. He then hit the beer glass.. Entertaining game spoilt by poor umpiring.
