Groups of more than 2 banned so can’t see the AFL or WAFL being able to reopen under the new restrictions. A good thing so hopefully they both come back in 2021 with old fashioned semi professional coaching and playing criteria and coaching staff reduced to a max of three😎👍

very true -- Graham Moss and Murray Ward won CL the flag years ago -- or was it the other way around? In any case, I am unsure Ward even played league football.

The real WAFL clubs (bar probably Subi) only have around 3 or 4 part time coaches in their League set up already.
The afl on the other hand have more than that for each line and double that again in development!
A complete waste of money and resources well and truly coached and not needed.
WA's greatest ever coach John Todd only ever had 1 assistant coach at SD and they usually doubled up as the SD Reserves coach as well.

I think it is for the best really - too much compromise and too many households affected at the moment
we've just got to get this shit beaten and get the bounceback happening , the money haemorrage in Vicco will kill everything below it otherwise
well if it hasn't already that is
And I really do believe the WAFL has to go back to 8 teams pretty quickly
Sell Centrelink Park to raise some coin too

Murray Ward played 71 games for Claremont and 9 for West Perth between 1955-65. He was also Ron Alexander's assistant coach at East Fremantle for one year in 1984 after his stint at Claremont.

swansfanforlife: thanks for the correction mate, not sure where I got that from as a kid. Was he highly ratted at the time?

And I think you’ll find Murray Ward did nothing as a coach without John Wynne around.

I think you are spot on.. These players cannot train & be conditioned for top grade football.
Lets get realistic & concede that footy is stuffed this year. GONE GONE GONE

See the AFL is considering restarting by isolating players in a couple of states. WA and Tas would be the obvious choices, but what’s the bet that festering shite hole Victoria will suddenly be clean and their close neighbour Tas would be the second state.

I agree, people just don't get it. The Premier has just closed off the borders and people are talking about footy coming back soon. Footy is not an essential service.
