Thank goodness Australia doesn't have the same legal system as the US, and its multitude of states.

I am not sure under which any rational interpretation, coughing (or pretending to infect) could be considered "terrorism".

Here we go yet again - for anyone who thought some of us were over exagerating the sordid situation in NSW :-

I cut & Pasted the above headline clip from the ninemsn.com.au front page as form of proof that at least half of NSW's population should be removed from Australia and dumped on the South Pole or in the Sea near it before the rest of us die because of their deliberate defiance of federal law
Manly beach this morning was a complete farcial display of ignorant arrogance in crowding public places against official orders
I've resigned my own self to having about 50% chance or less of surviving the spread this shitty disease purely based on NSW behaviours and have remade my will as of late this afternoon
It is my belief that all goods shipped and any vehicles that exit NSW should be immediately incinerated and not even a blade of grass should be allowed to go past any border from NSW
NSW can no longer be trusted or tolerated and must be systematically dismantled before our country's population is decimated
We're fucked totally screwed looking at that page guys

Funny you mention wills. I got home from work today and the missus had hers out, making changes and updating. She asked if I wanted to change anything in mine. I thought that was a bit strange, but reading this sort of stuff, maybe I just might update it.

What was your better half proposing sharkie? In the event, you inherit her credit cards and store cards, if you drop off the perch she gets the bank accounts and property portfolio?

They don't muck around in Singapore. Six months jail if you get too close.
A majority of their cases are young adults aged between 20-29.

And the woman in Sydney whom had recently flown in from overseas has been fined for not self isolating. Apparently she had defied two orders. Police warned her on monday and received information advising she'd left the house again on thursday. Then police issued an on the spot thousand dollar fine.

So Freezin is the reaction to the corona virus still an overreaction? You were pretty firm on comparing numbers with the common cold/flu. The whole world can’t be wrong? Currently sitting at just under 600,000 cases and 27, 353 deaths. Someone told me yesterday the US lost about 80,000 lives last year in the big freeze. Apparently one of the coldest winters on record.

By the way keep up the good work over there Freezin and take care. I’m sure you are.

Woman who 'spat' on officer, claimed to have COVID-19

Olivana Smith-Lathouris 9 hrs ago

A woman will face court today after allegedly repeatedly coughing and spitting on an officer during a vehicle stop in Sydney's southwest yesterday.
Police tried to pull over the 25-year-old Audi driver in Greenacre just after 5pm yesterday.
But the woman allegedly sped away, driving through a red light and crossing unbroken white lines to overtake another vehicle before eventually being stopped by police.

Police from Traffic and Highway Patrol tried to stop a woman who sped away, ignoring traffic lights.
Police said she was speeding at more than 120km/h in a 50km/h zone.
When she was finally pulled over, she struck her head against the car window and spat at the officer.
After refusing to get of the car, she had to be physically removed and handcuffed.
She said she was on her way to be tested to COVID-19, and began repeatedly coughing in the officer's face.

The woman was handcuffed but persisted to resist, coughing and spitting on offi
She had to be physically restrained on the ground after allegedly spitting against at the officer.
She was taken to Bankstown Police Station and charged with speeding, driving while disqualified, driving recklessly and assaulting an officer.
The woman was not displaying any symptoms; however, the officer has undergone COVID-19 testing as a precaution.
Traffic and Highway Patrol Commander, Assistant Commissioner Michael Corboy, said this kind of behaviour towards police officers, who are just trying to go about their job safely, is not acceptable.
"Police will not tolerate being spat at in any climate, let alone the one we're facing right now. It's as simple as that," Assistant Commissioner Corboy said.
She was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today.

But just in case you thought authorities in New South Retarded Inbreed might be onto things or preventing re-occurrence:-

They just don't get it: Crowds gather across Sydney AGAIN despite PM imposing stage two lockdown to stop the spread of deadly COVID-19 - as backpackers throw coronavirus parties in hostels

Karen Ruiz For Daily Mail Australia 4 hrs ago

Sydneysiders continue to flout strict social distancing guidelines with hundreds of people gathering at popular outdoor areas across the city as the country battles a coronavirus pandemic.
Manly Beach, in the city's Northern Beaches, was flooded with joggers, cyclists, surfers and sunbathers enjoying the sunny 24C weather on Saturday morning.
Despite repeated calls for Australians to remain at home and maintain a 1.5metre distance from one another, photos obtained by Daily Mail Australia show hundreds of unfazed residents blatantly defying restrictions, gathering at the park, beaches and promenade.
Similar scenes unfolded at Rushcutters Bay, in Sydney's eastern suburbs, and Cronulla in the Sutherland Shire, with scores of people getting together at the park, going on walks and playing group sports.
Such activities were either banned or limited to a maximum of ten people under new measures introduced this week to help curb the spread of infection.
The shocking footage comes as the country's death toll rose to 14 on Saturday after a 91-year-old Sydney woman who tested positive for COVID-19 died.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Australia has soared to 3,573, with 1,617 in NSW - the country's worst-hit state.
The majority of COVID-19 infections in the state have been reported to be emerging from Sydney's eastern suburbs, where hundreds of people were seen flocking to the region's popular beaches last week.
The state and federal government has issued multiple calls for Australians to 'do the right thing' and adhere to guidelines that could potentially save hundreds of peoples' lives.
On Saturday, officials were forced to close Maroubra Beach after defiant sunbathers flocked to the sand following other beach closures in the city.
Beachgoers were told to leave the area at 11.30am
Premier Gladys Berejiklian urged people to be vigilant and sensible, adding no one should leave their homes unless they have to.
The state has also begun handing out infringement notices for those who flout coronavirus public health orders.
Meanwhile in Bondi Beach, backpackers were slammed for brazenly defying social distancing rules by hosting parties and social gatherings at their hostels.
NSW Police were forced to shut down a barbecue held at Bondi Backpackers Club on Hall St on Friday night that had been advertised on the hostel's Facebook page.
In a now-deleted post, the hostel invited guests to its weekly sausage sizzle and happy hour beginning at 6pm.
NSW Police Minister David Elliot told the Sydney Morning Herald the social gatherings taking place at hostels were 'one of the most irresponsible things I have ever come across'.
Backpackers have also come under fire by outraged residents on social media, with one person who branding them 'socially irresponsible morons.'
'Really??? Happy Hour??? A sausage sizzle for all guests?? Have you heard of social distancing? You are a disgrace,' one person said.
Another commented on the Facebook event saying: 'The rest of us have been stuck indoors for weeks, working from home and homeschooling kisd, whilst you brainless turds are business as usual.
'Wake the f**k up you absolute deadbeats.'
In a statement to Daily Mail Australia, Bondi Beach Backpackers Club denied the hostel was hosting parties and said the event was intended to be a takeaway-meal for guests who have been unable to return to their homes overseas.
'This was an attempt to lift the spirits of the remain people that have been unable to go home. These people are stuck. They were among the first people to lose their jobs. They are unable to get on flights to go home on.
'We have chosen to remain open for these last few guests, because if we close, these people have no where else to go.
'We have been following the recommendations made by the government very carefully. We feel a duty of care to these people and do not want them or any members of the public to get sick.'
The hostel confirmed police visited the premises to 'ask some questions' before leaving.
Earlier this week, an Argentinian backpacker and her 10 friends were reported to have contracted coronavirus after attending a party with hundreds of people on Bondi Beach.
The beach party was held before Scott Morrison banned non-essential services and outdoor gatherings of more than 500 people.
The 24-year-old woman went to Prince Wales Hospital on Monday where she was told that she had tested positive.
Her diagnosis came after several more cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in backpackers in the Bondi area.
'There were two recent parties that some of the cases attended where the cases may have acquired their infections,' a spokesman for NSW Health said.
Those two parties were the Boogie Wonderland party at the Bucket List on March 15 and a party at Club 77 on the same date.
Police from Thursday have the power to hand out fines of $1,000 to individuals and $5,000 to businesses that breach public health orders or ministerial directions.
The move comes after Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced tougher restrictions to try and slow the spread of the disease in the Australian community.
People in the firing line include returned travellers who contravene the requirement to self-quarantine for 14 days and those diagnosed with COVID-19 who similarly don't follow the rules.
Fines will also apply for breaches of the prohibition on outdoor gatherings of 500 people and indoor gatherings of 100 people.
'The police needed to stand up and say the community have to take this seriously, or more people will be affected and this virus could run on for many, many more months,' Mr Fuller said.
Police have the power to apply penalties already in place under the Public Health Act, which means people can be jailed for six months and/or issued a fine of up to $11,000 if convicted.
'No one is above the law. If you decide to ignore a direction, you will be caught, and you may very well find yourself slapped with a hefty fine,' Minister for Police and Emergency Services David Elliott said in a statement on Thursday.
'The fact that people are still not complying is the reason why we have police out in full force enforcing these directions.
'This behaviour is not only reckless and stupid, but potentially deadly.'

Let's hope a vaccine for COVID isn't too far away.....Considering even with the flu vaccine, 38 million Yanks alone suffered from the flu, with 23000 + deaths in 2019.....Let's hope a COVID vaccine isn't too far away...amazing to think COVID has expanded the geographic importance of hand washing and sneezing/coughing into ones arm.....Certainly the flu hasn't taken the world down financially like COVID has....but still think the flu is a more potent long term serial killer.....year in and year out....be interested to see the anti vaxers take on a COVID vaccine if and when it comes to fruition.....stay safe to one and all on Oz Footy.....and for farks sake stay at home and practice good hygiene and social distancing....
