One of those names you never forget and can remember Schneebichler playing for SA against WA many times during the 1980s when football was at its absolute best, was a strong marking forward who knew where the goals were in a cracking era of footy in SA & WA.

rip mate -- his german surname translates roughly as ' snow streamer', profoundly ironic considerring he would have spent plenty of hot adelaide summers training in nearly 40 degree heat. rip again mate.

Not a bad side, one which has three or four of the best players of all time. Overall, though, it would struggle to beat an Anglo side, an Aboriginal side, or, for that matter, a Yugoslav descended side.

One last point, there is absolutely no doubt that the AFL should have done this side officially, considerring, that, they bull-dust on about multiculturalism, and the fact that, the league certainly did one for the Italians.

With the above side AR you can really see the German influence in SA which has translated into their footy & cricket teams over the years, some bloody good players there.

From Wa a couple from Subi-Kemp brothers and Schultz who played for Subi in the 70's.Recruited from Victoria.
Pretty sure Wa V Sa at football park 1984.Rob Wiley kicked a point on the siren to give Wa a 1 point win.Schneebichler might of started a all in brawl.Put Peter Buzusto down behind the play.Ahh footy in those days.
