Don Lane Show
Graham Kennedy late night show.
Blankety Blanks.
Welcome Back Kotter

A couple of good ones there DD, I had forgotten Welcome Back Kotter that was a ripper back in the day.
That late night news show Graham Kennedy did in the late 80s Coast To Coast with Ken Sutcliffe/John Mangos from memory as the straight guy was another funny show.

I actually watch a lot less TV now than I did when living in Oz. I generally download anything I want to watch, so can be quite selective.

Not many of those over 30 years old.. DD has the older classics.

Yeh it was a beauty and one of my favourite songs. Was that song written for the show or a song they borrowed?

You could make a list of 10 shows alone on afternoon (after school) shows.

Welcome Back Kotter
Happy Days
The Brady Bunch
Bewitched
I Dream of Genie
Get Smart
The Beverly Hill Billies
Hogan’s Hero’s
Dr Who
Marine Boy
McHales Navy
Gilligans Island
Looney Tunes (bit like Ozfooty sometimes)

I’m sure there’s more...
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.
POTUS #45 & #47

Black Adder & Roadrunner were good

Yes the PC brigade would be having kittens over Alf Garnett on Til Death Do Us Part these days.
He was a big West Ham fan was ol Alf

8 out of the 20 are 1990 or before, including 6 from the 70s.

Yes the bloody bbc would never do fawlty towers these days -- although basil never wins on any show. The closest he came was in that episode with the silly deaf woman and dragon fly.

They still aren't as classical as your modern list. Love to know which 6 come from the 1970's.
Norman Gunston, I Claudius, Fawlty Towers & Minder are from the 1970's.

I'm not sure where you are coming from, LS.

I said nothing about "classical" in my OP. My list covers every decade from the 70s onwards.

You, for some reason, then set the bar at 1990, and I responded with 8, 5 of which were from the 70s (not 6 as I originally stated).

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rush_(1974_TV_series)

It's a list, not a bloody competition.
