Just catching up with some of the Swans news while I was away in September

Firstly well done to the womens team for making the Grand final. A great effort!
Also there was another recent news release by the president that the 5 year strategic plan is about to be finalised and it will "provide sustainable and enduring success in all WAFL and WAFLW grades. “We now have the resources to enhance our men’s football program and continue to build our successful WAFLW program”,
“We’ll reset the club’s football culture and brand. We’ll create a strong value proposition for coaches and players so Swans will become a destination club they want to join. However, it’s important that all of our supporters understand we must build this in a manner that provides both sustainable and enduring results. Anything else will only provide a quick sugar fix and possibly take the club back to the dark days. The club’s improved financial position will provide the resources we need to deliver on this plan, although it must be done in a measured, transparent and accountable way”.

According to the president the club is now debt free for the first time in nearly a decade.
I will be interested to see the details of how the club proposes to get the mens team back on track because as we all know Swans have fallen a fair way behind the rest of the competition over the last 5 years

it'll be a big boost for the club having black figures in the books mate
every resource can be directed at getting the side back into the finals
and Swans have got the bones especially with some of the younger talents still to come in

The money is going towards recruiting a couple of big fish

Hopefully these big fish don't like throwing shoes at the trots.......
