Possibly. To be honest I don’t for a second imagine that the club had abandoned premierships as the main game. That kpi stuff is just guff. Everyone would be trying. But like pfc you guys have one hand tied behind back re zone. You guys actually do very well, did I read 17 finals since pfc last played in one. Not bad but sustained success will only come from structural change. I don’t see how not trying and heavy recruiting match up. Not all your recruiting works but having a crack surely?

Mike it was like boys vs men yesterday as Peelmantle with about a dozen Dockers built like brick shithouses and that run all day against a mob of skinny kids who are learning the trade of League football, it was a horrible look for a supposed second best footy comp in the world!!

It was same against pfc to be honest. Peel very physical at moment. Having said that might see them in a month and they’re hopeless, who knows.

Freeze I have heard similar from you blokes in regards to anything to come out of Old Perth Rd but Old Easts have done alright from the likes of Solin, Treleven, Symonds, Moss, D.Morgan, J.Morgan, Boekhorst, Fletcher of late

BH - I had a listen to what Percy had to say, the same bloke that was league coach when all these colts blokes came to senior footy then got moved to colts coach and now in charge of junior development - Harding.
Pickering has only been there a year and half but our issues were there before he started.
we have to get away from just gifting young blokes games which happened under Harding.

MO -- do you mean 'gifting' games at colts and league level?

no problems with colts coaches playing as many kids as possible as long as the older kids they play in colts have the right attitude so when they step up to seniors they at least have some idea of how hard it is going, being a talented colts player doesnt mean you will be a good reserves or league player.
