Believe it or not Pre Season is only a month away!

Interested to hear some info from around the traps. There will no doubt be some changes infield and I think off field also.

Off Field
- Greg Harding looks to be moving into the Talent Manager role. Applications are open for a new Colts coach but often these things are already pre determined.
- One of the league assistants has moved on after one year to take up a role with EF so a role to be filled.
- Daniel Wulf left the reserves coaching position mid season,interesting to see if the fill in will be appointed as the Reserves finished quite strongly albeit with some handy performers no longer in the League picture.

On Field

- Glass-Mckasker returns
- you’d think the club would be courting Brady Grey after all but securing his services for last season before he was taken by Freo as a rookie.
- Ellard and Riggio ? Yet to hear anything official regarding Riggio despite me declaring last season would be his last in the black and white.
- Jared Cameron likely to be taken by West Coast to give the Academy something to hang their hat on.
- you’d think any other draftable options would be rookies.

The playing group should understand Pickering and his game plan a lot better. I’d really like the group to get punished over pre season and have their metal tested!

Ugle,Banfield,Blight - all retired
Rogers - gone , not sure where..

havnt heard of any other ins or outs.

reckon Tobe Watson an outside chance of a rookie spot somewhere, apart from Cameron couldnt see any others getting picked up.

Mitchell Bain would have to be a chance of being drafted Mark?

Read on the South Freo thread that Brady Grey may be going to them.

havnt seen enough Mike, certainly gets plenty of the footy in the few games I saw.

Would make sense for Brady considering his employment is based at Coogee with Freo AFLW.

Bain for mine could be a prospect a few years down the track as a mature aged. Not very tall and doesn’t appear to be an elite runner although has obvious pace as evidenced by his goal of the year!

There’s a kid who should’ve most definitely attended the state combine but was overlooked,could do worse than rookie Germs! For a kid that has played very little football,some of his work on GF Day was elite!

Will be interesting to see if Faulkner comes back,could earn a fair quid out bush. Grescos too. Surely Freddy is done?! Unless he’s happy just to captain the Ressies.

unless Faulkner and Freddie get fit their league chances would be limited, they try hard.
Grescos has talent but seems inconsistent.

Ugly,Banfield,Blight,Rodgers gone .Big holes left there.
Ellard+Riggio unknown atm.Wow there's some holes going into 19.
Cory Gault? Is an AFL quality player.Anyone heard anything there.
Brady Grey is another of Afl standard.That would be huge for Swans
Subi reserve players.They won the flag without to many league openings available. Would be shaking that tree.

Was Greaser (Grescos) injured late in the year as he wasnt playing in the Reserves either?

More and more happening behind the season in the lead up to season 2019!

We are excited to announce that donning the Basso jumper in 2019 is:

Jason Daniels: Jason returns to us after a stint at Swan Districts where he won a colts premiership (and named best on ground in that game), a handful of Reserves games and League games. After a few injury setbacks in the last couple of years we look forward to getting him back on his feet and playing a vital role for us! He is a quality player who reads the ball well, works hard and is tough around the contest! And more importantly quality person who returns to his junior club!

Dino Ross- another player joining us after stints in the WAFL and country footy. Dino played along side Jason in the 2014 Swan Districts colt premiership. He is a classy footballer whose brother won a premiership with us in 2017! His skills, marking ability and quality decision making will make him very valuable to our side!

Levi Ridley- Levi also joins us after a stint at Swan Districts where he played in the 2014 WAFL colts premiership team with Dino and Jason, selected in the state 18s in 2015 and more recently playing league and reserves football at Swan Districts. He is a very classy footballer who knows how to find the ball and we are stoked to have him return to his junior club!!

We are excited to see what all 3 boys can do in season 2019 and welcome them to greatest club in the ammos!

hopefully for Jason he can get through a season of footy, had a terrible run with injury and a season in the ammos is a great idea to gauge whether his body could cope with WAFL if he is keen.
Ridley has talent but WAFL footy wasnt for him but good to see him playing footy somewhere..
