Congrats to you boys on your signing.... obviously his experience and ability will be important for SD after Bennell and Crowley moving on. Any concerns though with his late decision to join SD and apparently EF were his initial preference? Obviously as an EF fan disappointed not to get him, but can't have all I guess. Where do you guys see Palmer playing?

Out of interest who out of Boekhurst or Palmer would u rather have....Boekhurst youth n speed or Palmers experience and ability? Looks like SD have some speedsters already in Taryce Stewart and Hinder....anyone else with some outside zip to cover not getting Boekhurst back?

Considering Boekhorst's signing was announced with EF on Dec 12 & Palmer with SD on Jan 15 and of which there was the Xmas/New Year break for training and admin in between what is the really big difference Freeze?
As for club preferences neither went back to their original club which is unfortunate.
Age wise isnt Boeky 26 this year and Palmer is what 28?
Seems like you are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill ol mate.
At the end of the day time will tell I guess.

To be honest Freezin, I would have preferred Boekhurst becuase of his Swans origins but having said that Palmer will add a lot to what is essentially a young group. He has signed for 2 years as well which indicates to me that he is committed to the cause. At this stage his on field role will depend on what Pickering's game plan is, I believe it may be a bit different from Hardings defensive low scoring system. Off field he will be very useful as a mentor sharing his AFL experience with the group. Almost a Crowley type role.

Cheers Mike, like I said before win win for both clubs, both cover a need I guess. No Southern Alps or molehills BH...no hamstrings torn off the bone tantrums from my end mate....just interested on your guys take on the Palmer scenario .... obviously all good in your eyes...as you say time will tell....wish both clubs and players the best of luck...good to have both players back in the WAAFL....think Palmer is 29 and Boekhorst 26....though the latter has been soft injury wise of late.
