He's no good! Has done a couple of tagging jobs this season but is a very limited footballer and I've no doubt there is someone with more talent and upside playing reserves!

Option for Wongan next year mate if you don't get Crowley....you need a tagger :P

Sorry mate couldn't resist asking....I was well aware of your opinion of said player. Harding seems to have a soft spot for him so stays on the team sheet.

Pity about the weather today. I was looking forward to seeing what all the hype is with Marlon Pickett for Soufs but can't bring the missus to the footy in these conditions. Too early in her footy life for her to have to suffer for the game...thinking of the bigger picture ;)

Pretty gutsy display from the Basso Boys - lots to be proud of today I reckon

I didn't go Southy so can only look at the scoreline and observe that it's my buy next visit. A much better result than anticipated. Looking forward to hearing the write ups of anyone who attended. Notice Faulks had a lot of it. Can only wonder how his disposal efficiency was on a day like today.

Dw in my opinion it was our best performance for the year. I suspect that Rudy should get another game tomorrow week. Faulks certainly didn't turn the ball as often as usual. There were some promising signs and I would urge all Swans' supporters to get to the Showgrounds tomorrow week to support the boys for our second win of the season.

On a side note: one wonders how a team can get conservatively 5 high tackle frees in the first quarter and the other team none. Perhaps the best decision that has ever been made by any umpire in any sport ever was the deliberate out of bounds decision when the ball slipped out of the Swans' player's hands about a foot from the boundary line. I mean there may have been a couple of drops of rain during the day so one wouldn't expect the umpires to take into account that the ball might have been a bit slippery.

The umpiring today was as bad as I have seen in 10 years, and that is saying something the way we have been treated in the past, they are a pathetic disgrace and cost us 6 goals directly because of those green slimely pr!cks who continually get sucked into the serial ducking of Hams, Sloithe and co that earns zero respect from anyone else in the comp as it is akin to cheating in my book and a weasel act. Not surprising 5 players in the top 10 for free kicks for this year are those two and 3 others just as bad in Murphy, Neates and Rory O`Brien..an absolute blight on the game and I was so glad that I was informed that Greg Harding and Matt Riggio gave it to the maggots at Half time, just before the McDonald stand patrons had their say too and rightly so.
They showed great consistency and that was consistently not paying Swans the same frees that were afforded to South for the same incidents and then late in the game when its all done and dusted they pay the cheapies to us so that it balances the free kick ledger - fukcing disgraceful
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Not trying to be a smartarse, but welcome to the world of being a Subi supporter. I've kind of given up on any hope of understandable umpiring and try and just cheer when I can

so SF were lucky to win then?....sounds like it was a pretty gutsy performance from SD yesterday....the SD fans I mean.....wet day, another loss and the umps wearing opposition colours again......depressing or what?....beauty of footy though is, there is always next week...

great to see Riddoch kick a couple, touch wood he can build on that performance and deliver on his potential....as for the umps?.....well at least they are consistent I guess ;)

No disrespect Singha, but with $ubi's rorting of the salary and points cap over the years and resulting in a multitude of Premierships, you get no sympathy from me and I reckon I speak on behalf of the WAFL fraternity. Yesterday you were gifted 2 x maggot assist goals and the overall umpiring was ok.
