We should be discussing the atrocious skill level, decision making, work rate and body language that has been evident across the senior squad since the season started.
The other thing that maybe a thread should be dedicated to is the mounting injury/absentee toll at the club at the moment which is the worst I can remember in 36 years following us. Yesterday missing from the Senior squad were off the top of my head- Kirkup, Blight, Nuich, Newman, C.Daniels, Blakely, Anderson, Kohlmann, Taylor, Cranenburgh, Hodge, Power, Cary and I may have missed some and then Ugle & J.Daniels were injured yesterday to only add to the list plus also we have talented juniors Nelson & Ridley playing at C3 Ammos level. We all understand footy is a contact sport hence some of the injuries but to have nearly a third of your ranks currently not playing for whatever reason only 6 games in some serious questions have to be asked???

The whole coaching group from Greg down to the fitness and medical team needs an urgent enquiry and put on notice because it has been a disaster from day 1, bad luck aside. Listening in huddles yesterday and that's all we can go of course but it sounded like game plan on the run.

On the playing side players cant kick over 20m and hit a target, continually handball off to a bloke who is under more pressure than the giver, and overuse in general. The only player that looked like taking a contested mark yesterday was Ansey who I reckon has the strongest hands in the club, as in 2011 it is time to rebuild as our senior players like Simmo, Amesy, Notte and Riggio wont go around for ever and are being left to do too much. Freddie was ok again yesterday and getting better each week

Just having a think about MO's opinion as to Howard playing forward yesterday. We seem to have many a general in defence with an experienced back 6. Can we spare Simmo up forward to put a wise head amongst the kids??? 2010 GF it worked. Heard yesterday Cary will be out for up to 8 weeks. Hope not true but if so we gotta try something to get the forward line functioning better. Of course better ball use would solve most of our issues but can't see that changing overnight.

Yeh agree Simmo is a great kick, strong mark, big tank and proven forward. In his twilight seasons would be a good move to fee him up a little and teach some younger defenders to step up for the future because this could be Simmo and Ameseys last year

Swans foot skills and decision making under pressure are better than Freos. At least today they where.
This could hand thunder a real premiership chance in 16.If Ross decides to go with young players and Peel has a half a dozen regular Dockers players from the last couple of years.

Howie actually looked good up forward he presented straight up the tram tracks and took some strong marks on the lead unfortunately we just couldnt get the footy down there enough and in the end he was needed down back but it could be worth persevering with again with Simmo also down there at different stages.
Sutton was very good in the wet the week before too DW takes a strong contested mark and despite the 5.4 yesterday he is a sound kick at goal with a nice technique and he should play vs Perth if we are fair dinkum at the selection table next Wednesday Night along with a few other boys who have served too long a penance in the Reserves!

Why is Turner still in reserves ? Is quick and a good long kick
Wilson needs to be played
Sutton worth a shot
Rudy can't be worse than what Rogers delivered on Saturday, he had a nightmare
Smith still skinny but lovely mark and kick
Hughes as a small defender
Team needs a shake up
If Burnham plays another league game with Coniglio then the coach should be marched

There is talent at the club but for whatever reason it is only evident fleetingly during a match and they are playing without any confidence whatsoever. All the skill, flair, dare, dash has completely gone missing or the wow factor as it was described earlier and the boys look like they are not playing with any enthusiasm as evidenced with a few putting the hands on hips early in the contest (and unbelievably in the Anzac game as well) sending a disgraceful sign to the rookies and the likes of Ames, Simpson, Jetta, Riggio, Howard who give 110% every time they pull on the jumper not to mention the members, sponsors, Staff & fans who are the heartbeat of the club. One incident was where Freddie inspirationally took on and beat 4 WP players on his own to cause a stoppage on our half forward line that should have had half the side 'getting around him' and yet not 1 bloke did and Freddie was still contesting the stoppage on his own against the 4 or more opponents just disgraceful & unacceptable and showing the work rate isnt there along with the camaraderie & other factors already noted. Time to go back to basics and let them enjoy their football by showing all the traits we know they have and picking a side that gives us a chance of actually hitting the scoreboard consistently and regularly.

Oh for the Swoop , he'd straighten things up & demand the footy - it's probably going to be priority in the off-season to scour around for a top notch mobile key forward who can lead up & get amongst it

Bang on 'Beas - might be holding back a bit to lessen the risk of turnover instead of taking it on , fark I've seen that over the years
