This is a team with no idea how to win a game of footy, they are just hoping things fall their way and that a win might happen. First gamer Logue seemed to be the only fella on the park enjoying his footy today, good performance from Riggs even thou his must have burst a dozen fuses today such was his frustration at the lack of help in the midfield and Clutterbuck can hold his head high for effort. As a supporter I'm prepared to stick fat but what I saw today was a team not enjoying playing footy together. Harding has a lot of work to do to get this team to gel before seasons end or I believe his head will be on the chopping block. I'm not sure he has to many ideas left up his sleeve. Just an observation in the 2 weeks I've attended and putting injuries aside something seems to be on the nose around this team at the moment. Quite possibly a Murray Newman type factor. Things just seem very lacklustre around the SDFC atm.

On another note I sat and watched from the MacDonald stand most of the day. To get straight to the point the abuse towards the umpiring from our supporters was childish and pathetic. Umpiring had nothing to do with why we lost today yet our supporters did nothing but constantly abuse the umps all game. It's a disgusting trait amongst some of our supporters, the language at times highly inappropriate with kids and woman around and I really felt embarrassed for some of the shit I heard leave these people's mouths. Time for some of our mob to pull there bloody heads in....nothing forgives some of the language I heard today with none of it in good humour. Grow up people...if you can't show fellow human beings including both umpires and the opposition supporters, the kids and the ladies in your vicinity some kind of respect then keep yourself and your potty mouths away from the footy as you are an embarrassment to our club!!!

I agree - Im all for letting off a bit of steam but people could and should do better. It's the same at Lathlain and Subi watching the Dockers. Pretty sad really
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

We have a few of them mate, I hate it and avoid them. I don't mind a good bit of wit and banter, but these guys don't have it

Pretty sure they are the guys who had the mega phone at the Showgrounds last year. The same blokes made cocks of themselves at Moss St in the grandstand.

Yes I sit in the Mcdonald stand sometimes and have heard these guys. I suppose one of them would have been disappointed about the absence of Ricky Cary today because it deprived him of making his usual brainless comment about the number 69

Yeah mate, they are part of the problem. There were about a dozen or so about who just can't control themselves...some 50-60yo+ fellas who should know better. 2 or 3 in particular who basically commentate the game in constant abuse of the umps. I'll be heading back to the members for future games, at least there is an element of wit albeit small amongst that lot and they can laugh at themselves.

I think the passage of play late in the 3rd quarter in front of the members summed up our current situation. Clutterbuck was outnumbered 4 to 1 and somehow managed to get a stoppage. At the ball up he was still there on his own and had to go for the ruck tap and hence WP ran away with the ball with little pressure.

For me that was worse than any missed handball, dropped mark or shank. The lack of want to get over and help your team mate was disgusting. And numerous times today we were outnumbered at the contest and not just by 1. Not sure if it's because of the way we are setting up or the opposing teams pressing up against us but it was weak.

Also,I don't think I've watched a team consistently where they have been this badly beaten in time in Foward half %. No joke it must be 15%-85% so far at Bassendean.

its a cultural thing...when the club in the past has allowed a mob of idiots to call themselves the abuse crew who then as the name suggests abuse and denigrate anyone who doesn't support your mob including opposition supporters, players and umpires then that's what you get. SD supporters are generally the worst in league imo closely followed by the feral eagles. when SD plays EP at Bogandean, the MacDonald stand must look like Pentridge exercise yard from the 1970's.

l

BC...the abuse crew use the term abuse in place of blatant swearing after the club insisted the language got cleaned up or they'd have to go...those blokes whilst feral at least show some decency and refrain from using terms such as effen maggot c...ts relentlessly like the mob in the Macca stand today. Embarrassed for my club today...no excuse in front of kids to vent in this manner

I was where the umps go into their tent and there were two Swans supporters who directed some comments that were very lame, there was nothing in it.
