Can anyone tell me about this boy Rudy Riddoch.

There is something about him I think. Anyone care to add?

I have watched him for a couple of years now. Very strongly built but seems to have hardened up a bit lost the puppy fat. Seems very fair though not just a thug, his football has improved out of sight.

This guy has the hallmarks of a great player and when believes in himself more he will dominate, I like him in the midfield and I hope he takes that little diving pr1ck O'Briens head off tmoro!.. Fairly of course

Rudy would be the can bar's new favourite I reckon with the chants bellowing out when he takes the footy under his arm & charges downfield, although they do idolise any player that runs out in the Black & White stripes! :)

Provided he continues to work on his game and improve his fitness he will be a very important to our ongoing success. Certainly he has a number of supporters in the Macca Stand. Another example of our junior development programme and pathway.

I spent 2qtrs of the SF game with his 'mum' . Not my place to detail his childhood on this site so I won't but can say my respect for him as a footballer grew after hearing his story. A credit to himself and an even bigger credit to his 'mum' who is just a wonderful lady with a good footy understanding. Her words she asked me to run down to to him from the Macca stand last week at half time were simple...' Faster Rudy' ....a good eye from her as he was carrying some minor calf soreness last week...has some AFlL eyes on him and so he should.

Riddoch kicked 4 goals on the weekend and was SDs best player. Not bad in a side that struggled on the day. He could be in the sights of a few scouts, they may be keeping an eye on him I think.

I reckon Freo or WCE could do with the kid.....WCE especially could do with a bit of bash and crash......Freo have Fyfe for that, but no harm in having two in the side for that, makes the opposition think twice when putting their head over the ball or their body on the line......not too sure the SD boys here could handle seeing the likes of Rudy, Levi or Chad strutting their stuff for either Peel or EP....but thems the breaks I guess for having such a good development program down at Steel Blue :P

I think WC go for their own "type" of player, meaning smallish thin etc.
Freo have smashed them in the recruitment stakes even in terms of the size of players. Freo have plenty of his type, I cannot think of any as such at WCE. I used to love Byron Pickett at North Melb. He was also a WA boy that didn't get looked at here. He was a huge reason we won that flag in 1999. He was hard but whats overlooked about him is he could play too & he was quite quick when he wanted to be.

I would love North to have a look at Riddoch.
