Swans have clearly run their race. The season has been far better than expected and a success but we have clearly tanked. Am expecting we will go out the first week of finals and a top two spot is gone.

Goodie, if EF somehow make the 1st semi mate, you boys will surely get to the prelim......saying that Subi do look the best side to win the flag for the G7 at present....so I think who ever gets to the prelim will struggle to get over EP or Subi........touch wood you boys helped WP peak well before the EF game next week with WP......amazing to think the touch up WP got in the Foxtel a week or so back that they come out and rekindle the hopes of all their fans for that 4th spot....gonna go down to the wire I reckon......

Hard to argue with you there Goodie having witnessed that today. Many of the players looked cooked and I dread to think what ERT are going to do to them next week. They have an opportunity however to show some ticker in that Bunbury game and try and get back to what they were doing early in the season.

This defeat has probably been looming for a while. Before the State Game, Swans were clearly the best team in the competition. At that point we had won 7 games out of 8 and were a game clear of Subiaco and East Perth. Since that State Game we have won 5 out of 9 but if you look closely at the results, none of the victories have been particularly convincing and all but one of our games since then have been against teams outside the top 4.

1. Beat Perth after trailing by 6 goals in the 2nd quarter
2. Lost to Subiaco by 8 goals at home
3. Beat Peel after scoring 2-10 in the first half
4. Beat South after being 31 points down at 3 quarter time
5. Lost to Claremont at home
6. Beat West Perth at Joondalup
7. Lost to Claremont at the Showgrounds after giving up a 5 goal lead at three quarter time
8. Beat Perth by a kick after being dominated for 3 quarters by the wooden spoon favourite
9. Smashed by West Perth.

In the past 3 games Swans have played 2 decent quarters of football out of 12, the third quarter at the Showgrounds and the last quarter V Perth. Unless Harding and the players can find the formula again and quickly, it will be a very short finals campaign.

Mikeh go down to Bunbury - you might be pleasantly surprised.

Certainly intend going at this stage Swan42. The boys have shown a lot of character this year on many occasions so I am sure we will see a strong response from them.

I shall be bringing my bag of nurries that will be distributed evenly amongst the players on Friday night along with a laser boot device for accurate targeting of all kicks and handballs.... ( laser also automatically vapourers umpires on any dubious decisions )

lol

Certainly good to hear Mikeh; the players looked gutted when they came off yesterday.

Also, if anyone else wants to go Swans have organised a bus to Bunbury on Saturday. If you want more details give the club a call on Monday.

I would not panic guys. Every team has their lows. Obviously Swans are now experiencing a dip. In the first half of the season Swans were running at just under 13 ball disposals / scoring shot. Which was the second best figure after Subiaco. (Thus far) in the second half of the season, Swans are doing 17.1 which is a difference of just over 4 shots. Unclear of Swans injury list but when everyone comes back into the team before the finals begin, I'm sure they'll be up and about. They have scored 227 goals at the completion of R 19 which is second only to Subiaco.

Still time for Swans and the Sharks to improve.
If your going to have shockers better now and then time your run into the finals.
I wouldn't be chucking in the towel yet as anything could happen ???
Swans and Sharks at their best this season look bloody good - just have to turn it around in the next few weeks. Sharks got over the line on Subi when they last met and Swans have shown they can bounce back already this season so it's between the ears rather than anything else - Coaches have to sort it out ???
