Getting the chat about this game going early. It will be the game of the round without doubt and the hardest to predict the result. At the moment Swans are 2nd with 10 wins and West Perth 5th with a 6 win and 6 loss record but both teams could make a strong case that they can win it.

The case for Swans

1. They have responded pretty well the week after their other losses
2. Joondalup suits their running game, they have a good recent history at the ground
3. West Perth have been beaten a number of times this year at home so they won't be overly confident about this game

The Case for West Perth

1. In the last two games (Foxtel Cup and South Freo) they seem to be getting back to more like their premiership form.
2. Swans appear to be relying more on individual efforts rather than the team play of early in the season, which will be easier for West Perth to exploit.
3. Their key midfielders are all in good form.

Both sides have a good defence so like most games a lot will depend on who gets first use of the ball and how it is delivered to the forwards. Should be a close battle

Huge game , probably more so for the Cardies given the points gap between 4th & 5th

After last week I am more confident of our press for 4th spot, although it could all come crashing down against stronger opposition. Our forward line with Seva present has freed up our other big blokes and worked well last week.

With our losses being 3,7,9,12,14 & 23 points, you would think it will be a tight affair !

I couldn't make the game this afternoon and am following it on the internet. I had a look at the half time stats and I noticed that Swoop has no possessions at all! Has he come off injured or is someone just doing a really good job on him????

What a fantastic day up at the Arena winning all 3 grades.
Firstly the Colts won with a virtual second string side, then the Ressies (who are really our Colts team) won easily before the icing on the cake the League boys avenging an average performance last week by pumping the Cardinals on their own dung heap ..and even the boys wearing the Swans jumpers in the Djinda Falcons game after the League game had an easy win!!
So much for Swans being on the slide and having no depth that a certain WP poster made comment about after the Subi game and again last week!

Congratulations to Swans on a great day at Joondalup, beating us at every level! The 14 season is now gone for us and it is now up to you blokes to stop the dirty filthy evil from taking the flag, the way you played today showed a lot of spirit and heart, if you can bring that into September against the filth you will beat them..

Good win to Swans, they look the goods for mine and are a very good chance to rival the Ferals and I share the same sentiments as Falcon. BH, were you even at the game ? If so, in your incognito capacity what camouflage were you wearing yesterday, your fake grass suit ? Or was it your shrub costume ?

Be humble in winning mate, remember we are the reigning Premiers and no fucker can take that off us, Swans have all the work ahead of them. I Don't agree with Swandogs thoughts on the way to the game that Swans have won 5 more games than they were expected to so far this season so happy with that ! The position your in now must lead to a GF appearance at minimum, don't accept mediocrity from here on in, take it up to those Feral pricks !

Leedy I was there from 9am as I am most weeks mate. Not sure what you mean about me being humble as I just stated the facts from the day which were it was a great win by our Colts when you consider we had so many regulars missing against a full strength WP Colts team , a great win by our Ressies with so many Colts boys stepping up & a great win by our League team when taken into account from one of your DISRESPECTFUL fellow WP posters who constantly bangs on that- we have no depth, are inconsistent, have been lucky to win all 11 games so far, have the pressures of a 'so called' salary cap issue affecting us and apparently we think we are the July Premiers amongst other things!
I have a lot of respect for WP as a footy club as you blokes never give up and some of your supporters like yourself, Winger , Falcon, Screemar etc but if you want me to heap praise on WP in the Swans section you have come to the wrong spot mate as we usually talk about Swans in the Swans thread ..I will leave the WP wankfest up to you know who in the WP thread mate!
