Got nothing.

Which is exactly what you'll get from him if you elect him!

If you want someone who will um and ah and won't make a decision then, yeah, give him your vote.

George wrote: Hello all user's of Ozfooty.net and members of Swan Districts Football Club,

I have tried to keep a low key on this subject as I'm a candidate for the up and coming election for the board of Swan Districts Football Club.

As we all know that there was a terrible mistake with Jim Benson-Lidholm profile that was sent out to half of the members on Tuesday.

The Returning Officer SDFC Mr Des Hardiman as authorized the following action to take place as soon as possible in order to mitigate the damage:

1) An immediate email to be sent to all eligible members advising of the incorrect profile and to attach the correct one;

2) A letter of explanation and correct profile be posted to ALL eligible members as a matter of urgency. (This was arranged on Wednesday afternoon);

3) That the letter go express post so as to ensure ‘next day delivery’. ;

4) That Des will monitor the voting envelopes returned each day for these first few days for statistical purposes, should there be any concern that these members may not have voted with full knowledge. They will be opened in the normal manner at the close of poll.

5) That any member that has cast an ‘early’ vote, will be allowed a fresh ballot paper under my supervision and destruction of their original ballot paper – if they so desire. Please advise the staff to contact Des should a member require a new ballot paper.

Now that Jim's profile has been emailed and posted out today
Please now take the time to make a informative decision on your vote.

Now to the email's and PM's that I have received yesterday and today on this,I will not post my profile here on OZfooty.net. I do not think that is a properly done as the other six would not get the same exposure.

I have already spoken to Mike that if I'm elected onto the board of Swan Districts that I will step down as Moderator on this site.

Please re-read the all profile when making your vote.

Thankyou

George Copley

George what impact to this site would there be if you stepped down as a moderator?

SuperDude on what basis do you make that comment about Paul Rosair? Do you know what plans he has for the redevelopment of Basso Oval and how Swans can best be served by that redevelopment?

The upcoming election is a very important one for the club and I would hope that all the members who vote make informed decisions based on fact rather than what you have just served up on this site.

George and I discussed the fact at Bassendean oval the other week that he feels he would need to step down from the website duties if elected.

Its a spare time issue, and George will need to devote his time evenly between the club, work and family life.

There has been interest from a number of forum users as to becoming moderators. The site will continue...

Mike.

Do you actually know who Paul Rosair is?

Getting closer on the four candidates that I will vote for.

After carefully reading all candidates profiles and with Mr Jim Benson-Lidholm's correct profile, a couple stood out straight away. Funny only three gave out their contact details, out of the seven candidates. Copley and Dawson I phoned and both were very professional on their views and ideals and answered all my questions. I tried several times to call Rosair No answer and than emailed him No replay yet.

Some of the candidates in their profiles, just waffle on about their family's and did not get straight to the point on what they will bring to the club.

I'm leaning towards Copley,Benson-Lidholm,Dawson and McDonnell.

What are your views fellow Black Duck's members?

You would think that Swans would have their AGM before the election.
This is so you can get the correct information on how the Club is doing off the field ,
that way you can make a informed decision on who to vote for.

I should bring this up a next years AGM.

Bushie here are my thought and I state that I do know both Paul Douglas and Paul Rosair. I will further state that I am not part of any campaign to elect eother of the two. My thoughts and views expressed below are entirely my own and have not been made in concert with either of those two candidates.

I think that Paul Douglas has done a reasonable job in very difficult circumstances to try to get Swans back onto a sound financial basis and he certainly has the technical experience to ensure that we do get back on that solid financial position.

With respect to Paul Rosair I had a quick discussion with him on our last qualifying game about the role he thinks he could do if he were elected to the board. He was very keen in trying to ensure that as part of the deal on the redevelopment of Basso that Swans are given the opportunity to have an ongoing revenue flow as part of the redevelopment. This will ensure that we won't need to rely only on revenue associated with the footy side. Diversification is the key to ensuring our longterm viability. I believe that with his experience dealing with government departments and agencies this expertise will be invaluable.

I haven't decided who else I will be supporting. I have received an email from Howard Dawson which I am evaluating and will be contacting a couple of the other candidates.
