Morning fellow black ducks. Still on a bit of a high from yesterday, footy on the mind as usual and found myself wandering around work pondering the question if Davo has been good enough thru home & away to be a smokey for the Sandover. He's been super impressive in all games I've witnessed this year, very important at a crucial stage yesterday, however I haven't seen enough footy to be certain or even if he's been suspended at any stage. Clearly his best year for the club and will be right up there in our F&B but can he take out the Sandover???

DW unfortunately Davo missed a few games injured early in the year but without doubt has been our best player all year & should win our F&B IMHO from the likes of Notte, Ames, Geappen & Twomey.

Yep you look at his stats yesterday with 5 inside 50`s and 6 tackles, he is our most important midfielder atm and one of the best inside in the comp! good strong mark and powerful kick too
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Pity about him missing them games BH....was thinking 1982 Phil Narkle & did Mick Grasso win it in 1990 that maybe we'd have a player take out the Sandover on the way to premiership glory in 2013. Did Kraks do it in 2010 as well, my memory fails me right now. Anyway, nice to dream a little on a dull dreary morning in the shop...

Yep Kraks = Sandover, Simpson, Swan and more importantly Premiership medallist in 2010

DW and BH I agree that he will ocme very close to winning our F&B this year. He has been one of the leading lights when we have not been travelling too well in some of our games. With respect to the Sandover Medal, I would be very surprised if he gets within a bull's roar of the leaders at any stage during the count as I suspect that a lot of what he does would not be noticed by the umpires.

until he gets 'pinged' for doing some thing wrong by the umps!!!......which I hear happens to every SD player 24/7, week in week out, year in year out .......interesting to note EF Rory O'Brien is leading the comps disposal count and the free kick for count too.....thus ROB must be a cert for the Sandover then!!

agreed on Davo - he has been brilliant this year, wins the hard footy and his pressure is superb..
he and his mate Riggio must be congratulated on their efforts to the team, every week they stand up and have a good crack

Have a listen to what Percy Johnson thinks of R.O.B. He is dead right in everything he says! www.sportfm.com.au/interview-podcasts/

That's interesting - Gee Percy doesn't like where East Freo are at the moment - That's a bit of a kick up the arse from one of their own ???
