A good win and as close to a 4 qtr performance as we have had this year, still a couple of lapses in parts but hopefully the group are learning to stick fat when the momentum is not going our way and limit the damage on the scoreboard at the other end with tight disciplined team football and when we have the momentum making sure we are giving our forwards quality ball use to capitalise.

Any win at Joondalup is a good one, especially as its only the 3rd victory there in the last 10 years.  They could have easily rolled over in the last quarter but they stayed strong and that will auger well for their development as a team. If just a couple of those close games that we lost earlier in the season had gone our way, we would still be in the running but thats all irrelevant now.

It would be nice for the team to win 4 or 5 of their last 7 and at least have an influence in shaping the top 5 places and also give us a bit of a foundation to take into 2024.

Also Swans victory has seemingly put the final nail in the coffin of the West Perth premiership defence. Assuming the Sharks beat the Eagles by a cricket score next week, they will be 2 games plus significant percentage ahead of the 6th placed Falcons with 7 games to go.

They would be disappointed that they couldn't lift themselves for Black but that is often the case for milestone games that teams get caught up in the emotion of the occasion and the opposition steal the points

Well done to the team that I have been critical of in the last few weeks. Someone has already said it, but it is the first four quarter effort all season. The league team's disappointing season has muffled the fact that the seconds are having a beauty, highlighted by some of the performances from men elevated to the league yesterday such as Chipper, Bain and Lynch all playing good games.

The journalist who is a Claremont support - his name escapes me at the moment - was scathing of Blakely and Ireland during the week. Fair enough, but I hope he saw their games yesterday. Blakely rover's goal in the first (or third) and general around the ground play including his fourth quarter goal will be remembered for a while. Was it Notte or Ireland on Keitel? Whoever, well done.

Congrats to Black on 250 games.

Excellent win at a ground we struggle at.
We played very well into the wind and our short kicking game plan was actually suited to playing into the wind.
Though Noble marked very well compared to most players out there and Ireland and Stephens shut out the 2 blokes that can be so dangerous- Kietel and Knott
Lynch very good and O’Donoghue always gives 100% as a tagger

Would that be John Townsend SH or as he is more commonly known in WAFL circles "Clownsend"?

Dont ever expect him to ever say anything positive about Swans or our players!

I think it was Ireland predominately that had Keitel but Tony occasionally.

Thanks BH. Keitel was very quiet, while as MO suggested, Knott must be sick of seeing Stephens' number 38 guernsey running away from him.

It was mainly Ireland on Keitel. I thought Ireland played a good solid game
