After yet another close heartbreaking loss we have to lick our wounds and butter up back at home against EP who have won their last 3 games in succession.
With covid once again reeking havoc this season I will steer clear of naming any potential changes, though hopefully Collins is fit after missing the SF game as his work in defence was missed whilst Bain had been in good touch also.
This game is crucial for both sides if they have designs on making finals although a Fremantle laden Peel are also lurking over both and should get a win vs Perth this week you would expect!

Going to be an interesting match this one. The weather forecast is indicating rain on game day around the grounds.

Looks like anything up to 25 mm of rain on Saturday.Will dig up the centre square after the colts+ressies play.
Rain is so important to us in Wa..Just wish it would hold off for Saturday and give us a decent crowd at Steel Blue.
With both teams looking to consolidate there positions on the ladder.
Swans ground out a win in the wet v Perth+ where competitive against South and allmost stole the match.After a missed soccer goal attempt late in the game hit the post.And would of put us 8 points up with two minutes left.

The issue for Swans will be trying to nullify the influence of Scott Jones who absolutely monstered us last time and that was when Germs was playing. Tomorrow we won't have a recognised ruckman to go up against him. The weather will help but it will still be tough as Jones is very good at this level

Good win. I do not know if it deliberate or not, but if Ireland and Noble were told to run, run, run to negate the big framed EP ruckman it worked. Impressed with Ehlers' game - the whole defence were outstanding - while Jones' three kicks for three goals shows how dangerous he is. The introvert Riley - there never seems anyone near him - played one of his best.

Interesting application by umpy Snadden of the new schloithe rule, but generally I thought the umpiring was good. Difficult conditions.

Good win Swans very well deserved,  if you make finals I will be hoping you go well. Our performance was frankly unacceptable in such an important game. It was an effort day and ours was about 90 percent of what was required in those conditions. 

SH I thought we might be up against it in the wet against arguably one of if not the most credentialled midfield group in the WAFL (Jones, Ramsay, Schumacher & Brayshaw....who all played well for EP) but after that first 10-15 minutes of the game we pretty much dominated the next 3 qtrs until EP kicked 3 late goals in the last as we tired.
Hopefully Ireland is ok as he has been good in the ruck and around the ground with Germs out injured.
