Still seems like ages till the start of the season. Hope we can get a full season of 18 games but there are so many uncertainties around at the moment it is impossible to predict.
Can't wait for the Easter weekend and the round 1 clash against East Perth at Leederville. This is one of my favourite away fixtures because of the rivalry between the two teams and its always easy to get something to eat and drink on Oxford St.
After round 1, we play the Sharks at home, Perth at Lathlain, Claremont (H), then a break for the State game followed by Subiaco (away), then 3 home games in a row ( South Fremantle, West Coast and Peel). The first half of the season concludes with a trip to Joondalup to play the Falcons.
Overall I think the draw has been a little kinder to Swans than previous years as we start with 3 teams that finished below us last year. No guarantees I know but certainly better than some previous years when we have played the top teams first up and been immediately behind the 8 ball.

Unrelated to Swans but another interesting aspect of the fixture is that East Fremantle only play 3 home games at the WACA in the first half of the season. They have 5 away games plus a match against East Perth in Northampton which I assume will be a fund raising effort for the town.

I would have thought that every game the Sharks play at the WACA will be like an away game as well mike. We don’t really have any affiliation there.

Totally agree 58shark. I thought that a ground share agreement with either South Fremantle or Claremont would have made much more sense.

Not sure about Claremont Mike, but it could have been interesting sharing a ground with SF…..would sharpen up the historic rivalry.
