Sad news to read that former Swans & St Kilda champ Ian 'Brolga' Cooper passed away this week.
Ian played 35 games, 73 goals (1970-72) for Swans and was our Leading Goalkicker (Ted Holdsworth Medal) in 1970 & 71.
He also played 69 games, 31 goals (1964-69) with St Kilda and was considered their best player in their 1966 Premiership and also in their 1965 losing GF side.
Was picked to play for VIC at only 21yo in 1967 but unfortunately developed rheumatic fever which sidelined him for the rest of that season and all but 1 game in 1968.
Also kicked 100 goals in a season for Sandringham in tthe VFA after leaving Swans.

R.I.P Ian
