We are off to Shark Park this week to take on EF on their home deck.
Always a tough battle against Old Easts especially down there and this will be another one.
Not sure if we will get Gault or Warrick back this week who were missing against Perth, it looks like Bright will be out for the rest of the season after that nasty knock to his kidneys against SF.
I assume with the recent announcement this will be the last time we play at Moss St for a while with their new development announced.

And a good chance game day will be raining. Will be a hard day at the office in the wet weather.

They'll need to improve to beat EF. The lack of run in the last three-weeks has been concerning, with one good quarter (against the wingnuts) and the first ten minutes of last week the only examples of quick play or of players running to support teammates. I hope they can improve this week and make SD comparable with teams in ladder positions 1-4.

Does the forecasted rain bring EF into the game?.....or do SD handle the wet pretty well with a few of those ES boys in their side?

Pretty sure that EF are in the game whether it rains or not Freezin. Swans are not really setting the world on fire at the moment and they have been unable to put together consistent 4 quarter performances rather relying on bursts of goals in one quarter to win many of their games.

I do sense an ambush in this game as Moynahan has previously engineered upset wins against Swans when he was coaching West Perth. The Sharks have improved since we played at Bassendean earlier in the season ( which was another game that Swans won with a 6 goal burst in the 2nd quarter, otherwise the game was even). EF were unlucky to lose to West Perth a few weeks ago.

We will need to play better than we did against Perth to beat EF on their home ground. Looking forward to the ruck duel between Strnadica, who I rate highly, against Gault (if fit) and new boy Germs.

The big carrot for Swans to win this game and the next two against teams out of contention is that we can then continue to put pressure on the teams above us and if one of them falter, we could find ourselves in a position to snatch 4th spot and get a home final. That would be a great outcome.

Our recent record at Shark Park is OK, we have won 3 of the last 4 and 9 out of the last 14 there although prior to that it was a bit of a graveyard for Swans teams

No Gault again, does anyone know what the issue is with him? Checked the WAFL injury hub and they have only listed Spackman and Costigan who have both been out for a long time.
Big challenge for Germs up against arguably the best ruckman in the WAFL, good test for him.
Otherwise pretty much the same team that lined up against Perth although Warwick Wilson has been named on the bench which is a good inclusion.  I notice that Blaine Boekhurst is out injured for the Sharks.
The forecast doesn't look great but we may be lucky that Saturday afternoon may be a small fine spell between cold fronts as the worst of it appears to be in the morning

My guess would be a calf injury.  Perhaps BH knows.

Concussion.
Stemmed from a piss poor hospital pass (one of way too many that day) vs SF.
