I wonder whether the bye has come at a good time for Swans.  After the setback of losing to West Perth last week, we will need to be at our attacking best to beat Subiaco.  In fine conditions I reckon we will need to kick at least 14 goals to win.

Looking forward to this game, always enjoy Basso and the good banter on the outer banks. We were missing a number of quality players against Claremont, Walters, Powell, Lockyer, Sokol, & Kennedy, who should all be available after the State bye, but got the job done, we wouldn't want to take Swans lightly especially on their own paddock. Looking forward to what will hopefully be a good hard close contest.

Think this will be a tough game for Swans... Hope they feel fresh with the week off.

I have watched all 5 of Swans games this season and the story of the season so far has been patches of very good direct football mixed up with fade outs allowing the opposition a foothold in the game This culminated in the complete surrender to West Perth that we witnessed last Saturday. Whilst this style of football has been sufficient to beat the lower ladder teams so far it will be woefully inadequate against the premiership favourites and I suspect we will get another "reality check" from Subiaco next week. As if we need another one of those. If I were Marley I wouldnt waste a hat on this match.

We could start today and Subi could turn up next Saturday arvo and would still have the lead by qtr time on the raise the white flag last 40 minute surrender we saw again up at Joondalup last weekend!
How many times now is that now in the last decade we have surrendered meekly in the last qtr vs WP-

2014 at Joondalup Anzac Day
2020 at Basso Rd1
2021 at Joondalup Rd6

That is just a few off the top of my head and there have been plenty of others and a real disturbing reoccurring pattern has developed versus them!

Yes this should be a good one. I recall in 2019 I think it was at Basso when Swans were putting us to the sword by about 4 goals just before 3/4 time. We kicked a goal just before the siren then the next 4 or so at the start of the last and the rest is history. From memory it was Jack Mayo's first game. If that's anything to go by, this should be a ripper. Subi should get Lockyer, Powell, Kennedy back but Walters and Sokol are doubtful. Brandon Matera should be good to go but might go through the ressies given the amount of footy he's missed.
