I'll never forget this game. Me and a big bunch of mates had a pre game barbie and beers with a toppie at a mates house. Then all on the train and sat infront of the Subi members area surrounded by a huge bunch of Swans supporters also on the beers. Plenty of banter all throughout the game, nothing untoward or unruly because the game was just too enthralling for anyone to get involved in that sort of thing. After the final siren there wasn't too much sort of up yours or suck shit kind of stuff from the victors, it was more congratulations and commiserations. It was almost like we'd bonded. We felt sick in the stomach and not just because of the copious plastic cups of Carlton mid, but we knew we'd been part of something really special.

I felt sorry for the Claremont players and supporters that day (no really I did). You were the better team in 2010 and would have beaten Swans 9 times out of 10. Luckily for us, this was the 1 in 10 game.

Mike , you can't be serious.
I have vivid memories of the second semi final.
We were thrashed and at the end of the game a slightly inebriated John Rogers hanging out of a window in the members Bar was giving it to Swans supporters near our players race.
A swans supporter jumped up with a glass of beer and chucked it all over the big buffoon. Thrashing aside, it made my day.
Such sweet memories of 2010.

Why did Chad Jones miss the GF?

John Rogers was commentating the 82 & 83 WAFL GF's for Ch7.
You could tell he was pissed at getting beaten by SD in his calls.

I think some Pratt may have king hit him Freezin which is probably why the aforementioned Mr Rogers may have been so agitated. No excuse for such spectator behaviour though although I'm sure not all Claremont supporters are like that. They may have another flag to celebrate in 2 weeks.

"Naughty" John Rogers can be excused for letting his emotions spill over after that 2nd semi win, Mcphee also had a disagreement with a Swans official after that game as not long before the final siren Pratt executed one of the greatest cheap shots of all time when he thoroughly broke our Captain Clancy Rudeforths jaw who was performing a routine sheperd on him. And Rudeforth is one of the toughest players I've ever seen ironically.
Chad Jones did his hammy badly late in the home and away rounds.

Thanks for correcting me on that TOO, it was of course Rudeforth that got hit in the 2nd semi. Pretty nasty end to the game that day.
