We could have a Wafl lighting carnival like the early 1980's.Two 10 minute halves each team plays 9 games over two or three days long weekend.Played at Optus $5 entry under 16's free.Day\ Night format.

Remember it well GTR back in 1982 (Red Rooster Cup) & 1983 (Emu Export Cup). Not sure why the WAFL didn’t go on with it but for once were actually ahead of their time instead of being a decade or 2 behind!

I'm pretty sure that was when the Wafl tested the 25+50 metre lines. The 25m line only last 1 season I think 1983.

Yes the 25m & 50m lines which originated in WA (for all the VIC sycophants) came in for 1982 during the 1982 pre season for the RRC. I think they were both in operation into the late 80s GTR before the 25m line was extinguished but the 50m has survived for 36 years now and since 1987 in VIC only 5 years behind WA!!

of course some of their grounds were so bloody small that you could put in a 50 line

Renegades bowlers have been spot on.Same for Cooper with his field placing.A lot of leaning edges from our batsman.Wicket looks very slow.Abdal Quadir son batting no 10 for Perth.

Well if Langer was actually even serious regarding his comment about M.Marsh making runs in the BBL to push his case for a Boxing Day Test spot I guess you can rule a line through him now!

FFS after 4 overs the Renegades are 4-17.With White and Cooper out. With only 1 specialist batsman left. And they take both strike bowlers off defending 103.Surley you have to bowl them out in a T20 match with such a small total.
4 day cricket,50 +20 over cricket.Wa is playing poorly both in performance and tactics.

gtr: I saw four wickets go quickly, got distracted and on returning was a bit suprised to see that their opponents were about to win. However, having read your post above, I can almost picture what happened ball by ball -- they have been very disappointing
