Yep absolutely no doubt mate.
You watch Vic will try and poach the likes of Hardie, Phillipe, Morris, Rocchiccioli, Wyllie etc over to their team over the winter like they do every year, so much for being the self proclaimed sporting capital of the world if you cant produce them yourself!
That is why I enjoyed every single ball of Hardie, Whiteman, Paris & Kelly grinding the Prics into the ground in our hot humid weather, hopefully next year we can do it to CA's babies NSW as well haha!

Just to reiterate the depth of WA cricket at the moment, here is an XI of players in batting order from the squad who missed out on the shield final for various reasons
1. Fanning
2. Inglis
3. Green
4. Turner
5. Mitch Marsh
6. Stoinis
7. Short
8. Agar
9. Richardson
10. Gannon
11. Moody

12th man : Guthrie

They would have been a handful for the Vics as well !

You could add Jayden Goodwin, Jason Behrendorff & Cooper Connolly to that team too Mike.

Well done boys shook the gorilla off your backs and restored pride back into WA cricket. National selectors take note. Isn't Inglis touted as next Australian keeper in waiting? How do we fit he and Josh Philippe into the side? Which one takes the gloves? One of them might be targeted by another state and might take up the offer to enhance themself for national duries.
Get on your bike.

Inglis would be first choice keeper DD, Phillipe could play as a specialist batsman but I have no doubt both NSW & VIC would be into him to move over there with the lure as first choice keeper!

Fantastic result and a fantastic (for me) four days of live cricket at the WACA. Still a great ground to watch cricket at despite the fkn abomination of an outer at the moment to cater for those bozos EF. It really was a great game of cricket and credit to the VICs, they toiled admirably. Might need some education on how the bonus point system works - they had that in the bag but failed to chase, why? - but other than that they gave it a real shot. The game could easily have gone in their favour in that first session on Sunday morning which is testament to how close the contest was until Whiteman and Hardie took it away.

Sam Whiteman, I said at the start of the season shouldn't be an opener, time to move him on. What a nong. He was superb and has been all season.

Who knows Razzle, you could be saying the same thing about Sammy this time next year needing to be moved on, if he has had a rubbish season.....
