Freezin wrote: Pity no Brad Dick, quite pleased Peake is not playing, hopefully with Dalziell, Simpson and Brown back EF will provide Cl with a close game. Good to see Curley and Chalwell named on the bench.....Bayliss and Schofield will be two for sure....two out of Chalwell, Curley, Jansen and Perham.....wouldn't mind seeing the former score debuts.....though does the game on Tues v Norwood count as a debut for Chalwell and Curley if selected.....can't see how they won't be with, Simpson, Dalziell and Brown not being available for the Foxtel.

What's the go with BOB?..... has he not recoverd from his midlife crisis and pulled the pin?......

Freeze, I am having trouble finding out the story with Brock. I just received an email from the Shark's & he was not listed as injured or even mentioned at all. Is he on some sort of compassionate leave or something?

Pup, supposedly BOB has been given a special clearance back to his local club Pinjarra for a few games....struggling with his mojo due to his recent hamstring probs....had his best pre season ever from all reports, yet struggling with his usual soft tissue injuries....hopefully his brother ROB can convince his brother to keep on keeping on at EF....

Thanks Freeze. Over the next couple of weeks we may have Brock, Duffy & Dick available. I wonder if the Sharks will have room for all their small to mid size forwards, assuming there are no more injuries. Knowing our luck, the Eagles will probably select Dick soon.

Out of curiosity, do you know what has happened to Papertalk this year. He hasn't played a game all year in the Reserves or League?

cheers LH......kicking 3.10 in two quarters is always gonna come back and haunt you.....especially against a side like Cl.....

geez I wish EF had 3 Mitch Brown's in defence.....one for Jones, one for Andrews and one for Hamp.....kudos to Cl for having so many tall options. EF will really struggle against the quality sides without some tall targets up front at least providing a marking contest....badly need Young back.....whilst EF didn't have 3 first 22 small forwards in Dick, Duffy and BOB playing, Cl were missing some quality to in Blackwell, Handley and to a lesser extent McGovern.

Good to see new fella's debut and do well.....sounds like Depane acquitted himself well....how did Chalwell go?.....backed him for a few years now, hopefully he will get a decent run.....

The colts game sounded like a tale of two halves, whilst disappointing to lose, great to see EF has some depth in the colts to push Cl to 5 points, whilst missing 3 of their state boys and handy defender up back in number 12! Not too sure who Cl were missing though.

Be interested to see who EF bring up from the reserves for the Norwood game, Brown, Dalziell and Simpson won't play....hopefully Hooker gets a go.....not too sure who else will get a call up....Cooper is not playing due to work, so Jansen will come back, Peake as well if available?

Guess there's no shame in losing to a team like the Tiges. The shame is that next week we'll probably knocked out of the 4 by the filth of WA.
2x25= Seinor and Michael = 1xBrian Peake

The colts game went to the wire after Claremont had controlled it from start. They were the better side for sure but our boys never gave in and showed great character when 4 goals down with 10 minutes to go to just fall short by 4pts. Our colts coach Mark Foster made some great moves late in the game and after the last goal which got us within 4pts with little time remaining saw us receive a free kick from the re bounce only to see the kick reversed and our chances to win gone. All in all a good game.

The ressies were very disappointing after showing great signs in the first half to be completely over run in the 2nd half where we could only manage one paltry goal. A knee injury to Saville just before half time seemed to imbalance the side as he never came back on. I believe it was only precautionary as he will be required for Tuesday's Foxtel Cup game.

The league were very good till half time and if we had our kicking boots on we could have been a couple of goals up. Our pressure was terrific in the first half but unfortunately we were unable to sustain it in the second half and Claremont took control. Great debut by Jimmy Depane; and Tyler Chalwell toiled hard but was out of his depth in the ruck against formidable opposition in Seaby & Andrews. I do think Claremont can be beaten but in all honestly we need our best team in and some height to combat them. Youngy will definitely help and some class from the likes of Dick & Duffy could be the answer but atm they will be hard to beat.

Yep bad day for EFFC but all is not lost. Still 4th on the ladder and they will turn it around.. Thats footy... Win a few lose a few. CLA certainly werent the easybeats of the comp. WP in top form. Lets hope EF can win a few on the trot to keep the comp interesting. Time will tell
