Yep, I can't seem to conjure up much interest.

Thinking of who might though and that could be Spoons Hampson and his little sidekick FF2 (who must still be pining of the halcyon EF era from 80-82 of which he lead from the front), who would hoping for a Swans win (and a weagles reserves win of course - who doesn't like them winning and haven't they been great for the comp). Perhaps the Swans website could dedicate some space for Spoons to give overall review of WAFL season 2019 from his perspective. Shame the Westside Footy is no longer, Spoons could have run a front pager (complete with photo of him and his latest spoon).

Disappointed to see East Fremantle down by approx 4 goals late in the final term.
I still think it was a mistake for East Fremantle to agree to play their "Home" game across at Leederville. Although the Sharks form has not been great this season, they have performed better in their Home matches. Their Home ground advantage is quiet poor but they give away even more when on the road. Easts average for score being 64 points on the road this season is not great and well down on the average. Kicking 4 goals in the first half and 4 goals in the second half in this match is not a good return just wasn't going to cut the cheese today.

WAG....Loersch and Strnadica not playing ...two big forwards....reckon EF did well to get within 5 pts mid way thru the last...with a two reserve boys playing up front...one a debutant....also kicking 1.6 in the 3rd didn't help....not a bad effort....

Hear what you're saying Freeze. But I had expectations of an East Freo win in what was an important match. Todays result means there are only 4 Wafl clubs participating in the Finals series. Noticed East Fremantle averaging 32 points in the first half and 30 points in the second half of their matches this season. In todays match, they needed to be better than average, but fell short. Would they have won if they'd played at Home like they supposed to is a question we'll never know.

WAG....we are talking about EF here mate....but hey as much as EF inaccuracy in the 2nd half helped WCE into a finals spot, the week prior it helped Perth to be in with a chance this week....1.5 and 2.5 in the second half didn't help EF cause v Perth last week....good to have Bill on board...double EF win record this year...looking for the same next year....as for a home game this week helping EF cause....define help mate...10k or 4 points in a dead rubber for EF....no brainer TBH....all about survival sadly....

I realise Monaghan inherited one hell of a mess when he was appointed. From memory, East Fremantle lost 4 or 5 matches by relatively narrow margins this season. Would it not have been great if they had actually won those games? But this season has been better for them than twenty 18, for sure. I'm confident of East Fremantle improving next season as they have a good coach. Not sure if any retirements have been announced? Hopefully the squad doesn't change too much over the off season.

EF inaccuracy. How many big games (and not so big games) have we lost from our horrid kicking? (7.26 still hurts). Wonder if any other club equals our record of dropping games through inaccuracy?
