Definitely need a win here to prevent back to back spoons.....probably had out best performance v EP last time with a big win....wonder if Loersch will come straight back in?.....also noticed in the budget that Luke Jackson is wearing 21 in the league list.....also listed in the colts too....first time the budget has the kid in the league list so could be an indicator of a possible debut this weekend.....

Big game for the reserves too if they want to at finals this year.....two 8 point games before the season finishes v EP and Perth....win both and they are finals bound....win one and it will be touch n go....lose both and it's no finals.....Colts have done well and beaten every team in the finals race bar EP.....with all their state boys in they would easily be top 3....but sadly not to be....

Interesting one with the Colts Freeze I have no doubt EF would be right up there if they had the use of the WA 18s boys all year, we won our first 7 games with their use and lost virtually all while they were away whilst the Top 2 PT & EP only had 2 18s boys (Thorne & Pina both from PT) between them during the carnival.

yeah BH I noticed SD had fell into a bit of a hole after their 7-0 start.....unlucky to lose Garcia during the champs, but I reckon he would of played league anyway....SD colts have done what they needed to do make the finals...they will definitely get some good uns back come finals time....EF colts had a couple of close losses during the state carnival, the middle tier boys just couldn't sneak a couple of wins in the elite boys absence needed to secure that top 5 spot.....such is life.

No surprises in the team selection for the EP game.....no Loersch in either league or reserves lists, so one can only assume he is out for the rest of the season. Perham or Bonomelli to play CHF one would think.....thought with the latter being the future, that Bill would give him the rest of the year to prove himself....though Perham has been a fantastic servant of the club over the past 8 or so years.....anyone know the deal with Ryan?....no mention of injury on the WAFL or EF Injury lists..handy goalkicker when on song.....can't see this being a high scoring affair as both sides don't have many if any out n out goal kickers....think in the last game between these two sides, Loersch kicked 2.6.....hopefully Strnadica can kick a few.....though Anderson is a pretty good WAFL defender.

Noticed in the colts list the son of Shane Woewodin Taj will make his colts debut....a few other potential debutants are the younger siblings of Jeremy Sharp and Chad Warner.....couple of good 16yr olds in the pipeline coming through for EF next year...U/16 A/A Judd McVee debuted last week kicking a couple, other good Gero youngsters in Bartlett, Hoult and Wright have debuted this year as well in the colts.....plus I noticed young Gero boy Jed Hagan won back to back B&F in the last two Schoolboy National comps and has played in the National Schoolboy champs for the last 3 years winning A/A selection all 3 times...not a bad feat one would think.....

Positive all 3 grades won and EF found a way to get their noses back in front at the winning post

Negative being 22pts up in the last, only for EP to go bang bang bang bang to hit the lead, similar to WP in the latter stages of the 2nd quarter last week.....

A win is a win....but nearly threw it away TBH....

Perhaps a little lucky. A Free kick to Boekhurst right in front of goal recaptured the lead and then a goal from a very good mark to Morgan Davies put some daylight between the sides only for the Royals to then miss 3 gettable shots on goal - all of this happening in time on of the last quarter.

The Royals had firmed considerably this morning in the betting and looked determined to repay the punters faith but the Sharks outstayed them - with a decent handicap of 3 umpires too.

Big Griff and Ajang Ajang had a tight tussle in the ruck - with the later perhaps taking honours. Bennett, Boekhurst, Jansen and Eardley all battled away manfully through the middle without Nick Kommer who came from the field in the 2nd term holding his arm - probably will not be seen again to next season.

Baskerville was again very good. Jez Sharp showed flashes of brilliance and most likely won't be wearing blue and white next year. Jack Perham definitely won't be - at least as a league footballer and was chaired from the field by his teammates after the game.

Great win against the odds. Kommer out just after 1/4 time and Monaghan and Davies looked injured as well. Then Jackson our early in the last.
Thought we were done in the last when EP got in front- they were running all over the top of us. Missed 2-3 sitters- including Wellingham from 15m out straight in front.

Jack Perham announces his retirement and was chaired off. Good win by other grades but only saw end of Ressies

It appears so. Is there something wrong with that? Jack has been a staple of the side for a long time

Not at all, I rate him but very surprised Bill agreed to that.
