Another tough one, EF improved on their Cl first round loss last week to the tune of 50 odd points....do that and hey presto there are your four points in the bag....LOL...wish footy was as simple as that....gotta kick straight v the good sides....chances don't come around too often, 2.8 v Cl was the kicker in that defeat. Subi look good across all areas of the park, still human though so hopefully the EF boys can be strong at the contest at compete with likes of Horsley, Kitchen et al.

Heard Loersch missed the WCE game and hadn't trained with a dodgy back all last week, thus played reserves....not sure if he will be back this weekend....hopefully BC won't begrudge a good ole Melville boy in Nick Bonomelli kicking a bag v Subi this Sat....didn't Bonomelli play with your lad at Melville mate when you were coaching? Tough ask but you gotta live in hope Billy can devise a plan to topple the league leaders.....been a while since EF beat Subi.....actually even got close to Subi.....fingers crossed Subi kick like EF did in that infamous Prelim a few years back...LOL

Yes mate...Bono did play at Melville in the side I coached along with others to play league at EF including Tyler Sorrell, Leon Pearton and Cam Zurhaar who's now doing pretty well at North Melbourne.

Hopefully he can retrace his old training regime and rediscover his old goal kicking technique for this weekends game too.

Still no Loersch. Good to see Davidson in the mix- don't know anything about Trefry???

Bray and Scott not named in the Reserves so assume they're injured.

KC Loersch hasn't trained all week, bad back I have heard, definitely a loss because that Subi defence is fantastic....but hey sounds like Bonomelli is a bit more agile and at 198 nearly as tall as Loersch. Agree with Davidson, nice height for a defender and hopefully he gets a run. Treaty is colts eligible, think Davidson would play before Trefry....and I think Scott has headed back up to Gero for the season remainder....pity if true talented sort but that is footy I guess.....

tough game- didn't have the attack on the contest that we did against Claremont. Good to see the Reserves have a good win- hopefully they can play finals. Colts got belted again- State 18s back next week which should be a welcomed boost there. Be interesting to see if any push for League selection.

Strnadica has been better the last 2. I think Tassone, Bennett, Ryan, Baskerville, Monaghan, Jackson and Murdock have shown enough to think they'll become good Senior WAFL players.
Bray and Davies (especially) have been good recruits. Challenge for the Football Department next is to add 1 or 2 A-Graders- finish to the season will be very important in that regard. Key defender, Midfielder and a goal kicking forward would be nice

On paper KC Strnadica and Loersch are both good enough to kick 35+ goals each....sounds like delivery is the issue so agree about a quality mid coming in with good kicking skills.....Harry Taylor at 32 is out of contract this year, a Geelong flag perhaps could be the perfect retirement Swanson for the guy......perhaps Luke Jackson might get a run off a wing, whilst Rivers might get a go off half back....Sharp once Aquinas duties are done could come in.....though the reserves players must be rewarded first....

The colts have lost about 9 on the trot, definitely missing the elite boys, but perfect opportunity for the middle tier to step up....accuracy on goal has been appalling though....5.10....3.15... etc hasn't helped....should be a cracking game v SD though if all their respective state boys come back.....
