Last game of what has become a very long season, one started with much hope and optimism....ending very frustratingly with minimal light glowing in the distance.....last year some good season ending performances by some youngsters in the league plus the colts flag cheered up many a despondent EF fan some what......this year not the same, tho the colts are still in their with a ray of hope.
SF will be looking to fine tune their game plan for next week's finals...they will have a lot of motivated players looking to put a good foot forward in front of their coach....their reserves too will be motivated seeking a win for a last gasp finals spot.....really not sure how motivated any of EF boys will be......always good to win a derby versus our port neighbours, though like the SF fans, can't see the SF players holding much fear or respect for the EFFC club on Sat.....
Does Wiley go out with a bang or that much anticipated whimper?.....obviously a legend of WAFL footy through his achievements as a player.....sadly his coaching record might be remembered more than his playing one.....in hindsight has gone on a year too long coaching wise.....50 debutants in 3 years......should of been back to back wooden spoons realistically.......Will the players lift not only for themselves, the jumper, the fans but also the outgoing coach?....be interesting to see what transpires.....but in all honesty a scenario that couldn't have come sooner enough.
