90% percent of the fans on here are so one eyed and arrogant its beyond belief, stop critising Peel Thunder, im sure you would be jumping up and down if your club was put up for possible "death" you would go off, so im going to sit here and fight for Peel Thunder because this club is not only the bleeding heart of a whole region, but in the epicentre of one of WA's fastest growing regions. The people voicing their opinions on here do not simply understand how hard the Thunder have had it in the short life, and need to take that into consideration before talking about their death. This club is a working class club built on hardwork which resulted in a well deserved premiership, this club is good for the competition, and regardless of the history of South and East Fremantle which i understand comes up, it really isnt ideal having two clubs in the same area.

Let's start with the obvious. See below the Tabtouch odds for the 2017 WAFL Premiership:

2017 WAFL Premiers
Seln No. Selection Win
info2017 WAFL Premiers
14:15, 18 Mar 2017
667462 Subiaco 3.75
667456 Claremont 4.00
667461 South Fremantle 5.50
667463 Swan Districts 7.00
667458 East Perth 8.00
667459 Peel Thunder 9.00
667464 West Perth 9.00
667457 East Fremantle 15.00
667460 Perth 41.00

What does it say about who won last year's GF if Peel is behind Swans to win this year's GF?

Secondly, how many Freoplayers were on average playing in the league for Peel? Surely, given those numbers you would have thought that that would have made the Peel ressies pretty powerful? The reality was that their ressies team could hardly win a game all year.

As for hard times, have a good look at Swans' history over the duration or in BC and SS and some others the history of Subiaco prior to their domination in recent times. In addition the fact remains that Peel were never legitimate. The Perth vote in favour of Peel was contrary to the Perth Board's decision.

Simple really.

As for the 3 Flags for the SA Eagles, who's laying the bigger claim to 'em?Woodville fans or West Torrens fans?

Same problem for St George and Illawarra.Has St George won 16 Flags or Illawarra 1?As much as Rabbitohs fans hate the Dragons,in the cold hard light of day, just about No one will remember the Bennett Coached side,as having Won the Steelers their 1st Flag.

Wests Tigers,of whom they positively Hate each other, have Balmain and the Western Subirbs at each other's throats.Do people remember the flag in the 2000's as one for the Merger fanatics? Not likely. It'll either be Balmain's 12th Flag or Western Suburbs 4th?

Mergers might sound great,..........until the arguements start.

No thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get over it everyone else has , stop living in 1977.

Everyone else has?

Are you joking?

Bloody glad South Sydney didn't have the ''I give up"Notions you do.

Faced with Mergers or Extinction,we fought those Bastards at NewsCorp and Won!

Got a Flag to Show for it as well.

If you want to Trash South's History mate, put up up a Motion for the Members to Vote on Merging with East Fremantle and See how Far you get!

If you believe in Mergers so badly, put your own club on the Chopping block and see how you go.

NOWHERE!

Perth at $41 bucks for the flag, perhaps you should consider that rather than smoking that stuff your named after in your 1977 velour lined lounge room lol.

The Perth Vote, really??? Well... what a dysfunctional crap club you would have to be to allow that to happen, no wonder they have done SFA for so long.

Similar to Emperor Barnett's decision in a desperate attempt to stay in power to preference One Nation without checking our their policies. If there is a change of government next month the talk of mergers with traditional WAFL clubs will soon be put to bed.

One is pragmatic - what possible pragmatism was there in the introduction of peel.

One what possible basis do you have in thinking a change of government will make a scrap of difference to the wafc, given it was a labor government that formed the WAFC and empowered it to dominate the Wafl at will with a labor drafted constitution???lol

You do realise that legislation gets amended from time to time when there is evidence that an amendment is required? I have every reason to believe that the retention of the WAFL and not just in name only will be a consideration if the ALP win the next state election.

What legislation.. Feel free to point me to the WAFL Act...There is none. Only a WAFC Constitution and that wont be changing unless the WAFC agrees to it ( read the eagles and dockers ).
