kicked 3.7 in the last stanza, seems like the boys peppered the goals in the last term....always remember that game v Peel when Shaunny Mac played......something like 20 more scoring shots and still lost by a point.....Mcmanus kicked 5 points or so in the final quarter, bullying all the other EF players to give it to him the last quarter.....only for him to do what Shaunny did best......miss!! :cheer:

I only stayed for the first half and thought we were a bit ordinary. Peel did quite well to finish off the 2nd qtr and kick a couple of late ones. Just a few points...Duffy showed good form. Chalwell was used in the ruck which was surprising while Youngy was used at FF permanently. Peake & Howsen quiet first halves.

Ressies won by 6 goals. Cooyou slowly got into the game and the team overall played well. Young players from colts last year in Dorotich, Fannon & Anthony played well. No.60 wasn't named on the player list but I thought he did quite well.

Colts won by 2 goals with 2 teams playing a half each for both sides.

Scores and some stats are on WAFLOnline: Peel 12.6 (78) drew with EF 11.12 (78) with Max Duffy leading goal scorer kicking 3.

So fellas this was the first game of the season against the the freo ressies and would be interested to get your opinion on the opposition yesterday. EF were grand finalists last year and Peel finished bottom but you only came away with a draw. Will they be e real force this year or were EF just warming up.

From what I could gauge Peel fielded a reasonable strong team. In saying that Peel were impressive from what I saw in the first half.

EF were missing McGough, Dodd, Howlett & Brock OBrien.
Also AFL players that IMO will spend a fair whack of the season with us in Dalziell, Dick, Brown, Menegola & Sutcliffe.
Not sure about how many games Brennan & Sheppard will play at WC either.

1st hit out of the year...wouldn't take too much notice of that. I reckon Dalziell will play most of the games with us. Woosha seems to be impressed with Brownie - attitude wise, but it may take more than that for him to get a regular gig. Could be the same with Menegola and Sutcliffe, although the docker boys will need to produce..I don't think anyone gets selected on name with Lyon - unlike previous years. We might might not see a lot of Brennan - someone in WCE has a soft spot for him. Shep's got a lot of competition for a spot as well.
2x25= Seinor and Michael = 1xBrian Peake

Which players actually played? Frustrating when the WAFLonline stats aren't working.
