I noticed that Liam Ryan from Rovers in the GNFL played in Subiaco's intra club match on the weekend. I don't think he has turned 19 yet. He showed a lot of ability in the 2015 Country Week carnival for GNFL making the Carnival Team. Did East Fremantle clear him?

Apparently showed a bit in the intraclub game last Friday evening, likes to jump on blokes heads for a specky on a regular basis. If so he could become a real crowd favorite.

Strange to think the kid reckons he stands more chance at cracking a game at Subi than EF.....good luck to him, would be disappointed if EF didnt ask for something in return, but then an untried youngster from the country....mmmmm not too sure what EF could seek for compensation?....

Maybe Ryan is the laughable ludicrous out of zone compensation pick $cumi were after for that Vic bloke who was with them for about 3 minutes before heading to Tullamarine!

Played against Liam when he played for the Collie Eagles in the SWFL in 2012, and also the last two Landmark Carnivals where he represented the GNFL.

In my view has improved significantly in that time. Can drift in and out of the game but very skillful with ball in hand. He played 14 Games in the GNFL last year for 32 goals, which is handy but hardly dominant.

Why would East Fremantle have to clear him or be entitled to any compensation for Liam?

Has he trained or played with the Sharks before?

Will just assumed Ryan was younger and a GNFL product that's all, which is in EF zone.......sounds like he is older than 18 and considering you played with him in the SWFL back in 2012...thus I guess he is a free agent to go where ever he pleases.....no biggie really EF has Josh Simpson and a few other GNFL boys who could prove more than handy if they settle in.

Sounds like Liam is in the same boat as Shane Yarran as far as playing status. Hopefully he can be as good as Yazz and be a 40 - 50 goal a year forward. Sounds like he will have plenty to offer the highlights reel.
