Disappointing to see Duffy go over to WP, but I guess money talks and a player usually walks. Lot of X factor Duffy if used right.....Bill says closer to goal for Duffy next year which is the right move I reckon. Not too sure how much EF can ask for a transfer fee but I hope its top dollar......not to sure if EF are on the hunt for another recruit or two....still reckon a tall defender type is needed

Hopefully the agreement with Perth when they willingly let him go after doing all his development was that they receive any ongoing transfer fees ...after all EF got their long sought after Colts premiership with Maxy on board!

You might be spot on there BH......but I reckon Perth wouldnt have the business smarts to do that eh?.....but kudos to them if they do........but I reckon Perth will get as much as SD get for Ryan Davis drafting to Gold Coast....sweet fark all for your best player.....absolute farkin gold......fingers crossed old man Crowley can be Ryan Davis mark 2.....

Think you will find Perth did not willingly release Duffy but more like the pressure was put on them to do so because he was refusing to play with them. With interest from an AFL level they required him to be playing WAFL.

Will still got any AFL monies paid for him for do nothing for us,good business smarts i reckon.
Good loyal man is that Duffy,i hope WP see a little out of him before he moves to his 4th wafl club,well 5th if you count Peel.

Mate every man and his dog knows Perth got Duffy's drafting fee.....but hey that money is old money now, probably spent on attracting Neon Leon or one of the Morton softies.....so wasted there me thinks....hopefully with Duffy being young, an ex AFL listed player EF ask for top dollar for him and spend it for the here and now on a decent recruit.....Duffy left PFC because Macca was a plonker.....took the powers above at PFC way too long to agree with Duffy that Macca was a plonker......Duffy won a colts flag at EF,played in a reserves GF and got drafted from EF....sadly EF dont have the cash to pay what WP can for the guy, similar to Menagola and Subi.....but that is life....touch wood EF dont waste any of it on a Papertalk

We havent signed him as yet and hopefully we wont but hey you dont need him at East Freo you have already signed that gun recruit in Jesse Crichton

Perhaps Max, like Menagola couldn't see himself playing finals at Shark Park. I'm shocked, surely the reunion of old team mates from colts and reserves glory days would have drawn Max back to his hybrid home?

Whilst I think Crichton is not worth 10 pts 30+ , he has come off 3 yrs at Freo and the last 2 years played in a half decent comp called the VFL, where he was V/C and due to injury captained Werribe many times in 2015, who played finals both years.....yep no world beater but definitely a more solid CV than that youngster you guys are saying your recruiters "have filled a need" from a far weaker league who played a bit of TAC footy before that....as for Papertalk, well hopefully you guys dont waste 10 pts on him......but then again your recruiting staff are filling needs

What gets me DD is that it was common knowledge that Duffy left PFC because of his colts coach at the time...his colts coach is no longer on PFC books, yet the club who developed him from a tiny tot still werent attractive for the kid to head home.....even with that war chest of theirs....EF were merely a means to an end in terms of winning a colts flag and getting drafted into the big league.....if he had stayed at Perth he would be playing Amateurs most likely now instead of a taste of AFL glitz and now good money for this years 2nd best team in WP.

now you're a student of the game freez and my apologies for getting off thread....whats your take on Subi's new bloke Grimley? apparently Brisbane were looking at him before this years draft but obviously decided not to pick him. after coming out of hawthorn's system, only 24 and 6'6" and 95 kg surely one of the other AFL sides would have taken a chance unless there's something about him which puts them off. seems a bit odd to me.
