Great to see that we finally signed delisted Carlton forward Matthew Watson. Welcome aboard Matt!

From the west online: "Watson, a first-round draft pick who played only 23 games in five seasons at Carlton, will start training at East Fremantle next week. The Sharks secured his signature despite interest from West Perth, who also made an offer.

“The real priority for us was a big, strong key forward who kicks goals,” Fry said.

“He still harbours the dream of playing in the AFL and we’ll give him every opportunity to showcase his talents.”

Had a quick look at training last night and Watson looks in pretty good nick.

He has been mentioned but there are a lot of players in the mix. He did kick a few goals in a match for Carlton against Essendon last year so that might go in his favour

Strono, I will be disappointed if Watson goes to the Dons as a top up....can't blame him for going, but leaves EF up the creek with limited chance of finding a replacement....actually no chance of finding a replacement.....think big Luke will be coerced in to pulling on the boots by Wiley if Watson does indeed gets picked up.
