any word on any more recruits, or are we going to sit on our arse and let
the other clubs out recruit us again we need a replacement for youngey . Obviously Wileys recruitment trip has not borne anything.
We should make a play for Walnock seeing he was a Carlton player.
It is about time our recruiting committee did their job.

yes that's true freezin the draft is coming up, but the fact is that we should have approached players earlier, to get a commitment from them that if they don.t
get drafted they will join us.

Swans didn't wait until the draft to approach Crowley, and while there is a
possibly that he may not play for them at least they have got a commitment
from him.

Now because we waited, we will have to compete with other clubs, we need new
players at the club as the ones we have had over the last couple of years, have
clearly not improved enough to win a premiership especially the forwards who with
the exception of BOB and Hampson when he was fit are either inconsident or too
lazy.

Hear what you saying mate......wouldnt mind a 195cm plus tall goal kicking left footer down in EF forward line next year touch wood the draft answers my prayers and thus yours mate.......though as you say the competition is tight with all comers jumping on board......think Perham has had enough chances TBH just not big enough....touch wood Ellis and Cripps can step up......be nice to have Duffy back along side BOB and Hampson....no word what Max is up to sadly......Simpson would be handy from a pace perspective too

After reading your bold comments about the Sharks forwards I did a bit of research on the WAFL stats site. Seems you have rated BOB exceptionally highly with 23 league goals from 19 games and have written off the rest. Ellis has kicked 20 goals from 14 league games and another 17 from 5 ressie games also so he had done a reasonable job from his opportunities. Hampson arrived on the door step with injury problems. You should have a good look at the inside forward 50 entries at a lot of the games this season compared to the opposition. Think the skill level and ball movement from the midfield did not make it easy for the forwards in 2015.

Nothing bold about my comments Observer, but considering BOB played a fair chunk of 2015 initially from half back I think as a permanent forward he may be a chance to kick a tad more than 23 wouldnt be too far off the mark. Yep touch would the likes of ROB, LA, Henson Macca et al tidy up their entries, one can only hope especially since they are senior players.

Cripps and Ellis with their height could potentially do damage up front as could Howson, Duffy , Hampson and hopefully draft permitting could a tall left footer goal kicking forward.....but that is all could and potential......one can only hope but that Wiley addresses your concerns regarding quality inside 50's from our mids and the need of forwards to make the most of whatever inside 50's they get..........wouldnt mind seeing Perham have a go in defence like Lester Smith and Howlett......the latter two seemed to find a niche up back just think Perham has had a few years up forward with sporadic success......he isnt the only WAFL forward who gets dodgy service.....Benny Saunders has done well in the past being a similar height too.....ditto Geappen and Lourey.....

Well with all the drafts out the way, EF fans will be hoping(expecting) for a few announcements in the coming week/s regarding recruits.....lets see how influential Wiley's presence as a coach will be.......heard lots of whispers about a couple of players EF are chasing....obviously Harry Marsh stays at Sydney......ex Carlton tall forward Watson on the radar, along with two other ex AFL talls as well......see Duffy is back on EF list......

realistically for EF to be competitive they need a tall forward like Watson, definitely another tall defender type and some midfield pace to complement the experience of MacNamara, ROB and Anthony in the midfield......still not convinced Crichton is worth 10 points....but hopefully he has matured and improved since his Freo/Peel days through his VFL experiences

Any chance of McPharlin pulling on the boots through out the season to go with his role of mentor at the club?
