Well Subi it is this weekend.....pity we can't jump in that car from Back to the Future and head back to the late 70's and face the Subi of those days......saying that the way EF are going at present all those golden oldies could probably win this weekend if selected!!

Hopefully Subi have had their goal kicking blow out v Perth on Sat and the goals dry up v EF on Sat......good to see some talls kick a few for EF on Sat.....no Maister this weekend to contend with.....but then again Boland is no mug in front of goals and then with have Yarren....we all know what he can do when on form....

I guess Schofield will come in along with Chartres and Anthony....with Carl Green, Perham and Hooker / Schleicher to make way?.....lots of injuries in the reserves I noticed, did well to keep the Cl defeat respectable.....as for the colts well EF need to win and win well v Subi.....too many slow starts of late.....did well after Cl 5 goal start and restrict them to 3 goals for the rest of the game......need the win though lots of teams in the running for those 4th / 5th spots....thank fark WP and SF are playing each other this weekend......

predictions for this weekend.....EF in the colts....Subi in the reserves....and what Swan Dog says in the footy tipping comp regarding the league game! ;)

Well what can you say other than beaten by a better skilled and coached side in Subiaco. Only managed 27 forward 50m entries for the game whilst Subi went in 70+ times. Hammered around the stoppages and lots of turnovers by hand and foot. We will need a lot of improvement this week to even get a win at home to finish off the year. Hard to imagine that around this time last year we just fell short of a GF appearance. So what has gone so wrong and why the dramatic fall? Enough talent taking the field surely so why such poor performances.

Against an experienced well drilled and big bodied team, the Sharks looked rudderless for most of the game, no direction, structure or sign of a clear game plan apart from trying to rough up Menagola which is understandable and Kitchen for some unknown reason. You've lost a few senior players and will lose some more so whoever takes the reins next year will have a big rebuilding job. But you always seem to have a rich mine of youngsters coming through and others have said that not too many will attract the recruiters so for a change you should retain plenty that can go on to be good WAFL players, but maybe a couple more seasons outside the finals before that happens. A strong high profile disciplinarian style coach is what's needed but someone with a good history of developing youngsters, by all accounts Wiley ticks all those boxes.

Can anyone convince me Robbie is the answer? A couple of fruitless years as Perth coach and now he wants out of Carlton before the new coach gives him the boot. Would love to see the names on the list of candidates still in the running.

58 It must be a couple of decades since he coached Perth, I think he may have added substantially to his coaching skills in that time, but whoever takes on the sharks, everyone will need to give them a couple of year to re-build.

Wiley might be handy picking up some experienced quality talls from over east or from within the AFL fringes.....like you 58 I would like to see the shortlisting of applicants.....perhaps the fans should get to decide who the next coach should be....pretty obvious the senior management at the club fell short in the Malaxos saga in terms of decision making...... :pinch:

Wiley is 60 years old, I'm surprised he would have the desire to take on the job, certainly wouldn't need the dough. would his age concern you blokes?

TOO, yes he's 60 but he'd be fresh out of the AFL system so right up to date with current coaching methods and systems, but yes lets hear who the other candidates are.

Yep, forgot about that. Coming out of the AFL system with years of experience is an asset.
