Not sure why he would be saying that.
Dalziell has retired from football due to ongoing knee trouble. The announcement was made at East Fremantle post match presentations after the recent derby. Not unless he's made the most miraculous of recoveries?

Yep I was there and that's what was said but I tuned into 720am radio on Sat morning and i'm sure i heard Judgy say that Brad may still play a few more games this season ??? Did anyone else hear that ??? Stange course of events either way.
I think a bit more is happening behind closed doors that we're told and the shark's officials are trying to make it look all rosey for their members ???

and he went on to say he had already reconsidered and would talk to the club about continuing....I wasn't that pissed was I?

Ironical. Leadership group appointed by coach and 10 weeks later they effectively sack him. Reckon alot of people need to harden the **** up at shark park and take a good look at themselves.

Maybe the leadership group did what they were picked to do.....stand up for the squad as a whole and convey their concerns to the powers above that Malaxos had lost the squads confidence.....or yeah maybe they did what Brutus did to Julius Ceasar and stabbed him in the back....who knows unless you are directly involved as a player, coacing staff or EF board.....which I dont think anyone here is....if it was the former than it is up to the playing group to step up and start winning games again and show to all n sundry their concerns and actions were above board....not just a case of being devious and soft.....time will tell I guess.

.all the reports about Brad Dodd seem pretty positive, so no point looking back.....Malaxos got EF to there first GF in 2012 since 2000, got the club to a Foxtel final and a prelim final only to see the team fall short due to atrocious kicking for goal.....he did a good job, is a passionate EF and more importantly WAFL man.....hopefully he stays in yhe game, just wont be for EF whatever reason that may be..

What changes to the team will Dodd make?....pretty sure evety player will be on a clean slate.

LOL.....why in farks name quote all that terror and then only highlight the last farking sentence.... .....doesnt mean I want any player to be starting with a clean slate, but that is usually what happens when a new coach steps in.....cant see Dodd making a statement and dropping those responsible for Malaxos leaving .....that is why I am asking what changes will Dodd make?........some folk here seem to think some players got games irrespective of form.....just merely on name.....

No maybe it was me that was too pissed then as I can't remember that ??? Sounds like he shouldn't have announced his retirement but had a rest for a few weeks ??? What a strange situation then after Stav said Brad had to call it quits as he just couldn't get up each week with the demands of his body playing WAFL footy. His retirement should have never been mentioned - not one of the reasons Stav is out of Shark Park is it ???

Malaxos never had the playing group behind him !!! He's gone goodbye, word is at training that the players have never been so happy. Had no game plan , no tactics , no respect and was a bully coach who would loose the plot when the pressure was on see ya !!! Should have done miles better with the players he had over his journey . We could not keep players , we lost players to other clubs , we had players who did not want to be near the club or come back to the club while he was in charge !! goodbye see ya :)

What the fark would you know looking from the outside in. Maybe you need to source out some of playing group and have a chat to them about the situation around them particularly those who have left and those younger players who are looking to develop at the level. Simpleton view of it all harden the fark up.

I am with you ASTRO... on this one.
and maybe a kicking coach... Thats whats losing them games.
Must be to used to kicking in wind conditions at Shark Park and cant work it out when the there is no wind :)

Big loss losing a good coach.. But gotta move on.
Hope Steve has a good Health plan as he has a couple of knives sticking out of his back

V SD this week will be the big test.. Win that and all is sweet.

Steve Malaxos is a champion! He realised that perhaps it was in the best interests of the club that it was time and stood down. He has always been a very strong club man. Time will tell but I believe that the club was fortunate that he acted quickly, without recriminations and resigned. Unlike another master coach who took pot shots at his Board before he was eventually sacked. Stav is a good bloke and gave everything he had for the East Fremantle Football Club. Best wishes Stav with your future endeavours!
