Always good contests between these 2 great clubs.....WP pulling wins out of the fire at present so no game is over or margin big enough until that final siren. EF kicked 10 goals v P early on and then worked hard to keep a determined side at bay.....WP behind v EP all day turned it on with 10 in the last to run over the top of them.....gonna be an interesting battle to say the least.

McGough free to play, be interesting to see how he backs up after that 30 possession first up game....both sides have ball winning mids, Black & Nelson like Anthony & ROB are ball magnets....Jamie Mac should be back as well as Schleicher....or doesl Jake lose his spot to McGough?....Locantro from all reports played well so one would assume will keep his spot....Cuneo may go for Jamie Mac, though Stephen sounds 70/30 of being available...Eardley and Henson have both been consistent and winning plenty of pigskin.

Lourey will definitely stretch EF defence if Stephen is injured, no Tommy H or Doddy to fall bck on. Not to sure Jupps status but he shouldnt be far away.....the bye and state game has helped minimize his number of games missed. Stryk always plays well v EF, kicks a few too from memory.....Keunen also gives Young a good battle, pretty sure Young has kicked a few against WP over the years, perhaps he can do a Bristow this weekend.
Ellis kicks his mandatory two most weeks, whilst Perham, Lester-Smith and Hampson keep the opposition defenders on their toes. Is Razzle available.....or perhaps keep him on ice for the derby in a fortnight. Good to see Howson running in the reserves, hopefully he will be pushing for a league berth soon. WP like I said have great mids, tough defenders, slick forwards and a no frills ruckman who competes 24/7.....so both sides have great chances to win.

WP reserves are down on their 2014 form......EF reserves have struggled with a load of 2nd tier regulars being not available, touch wood Solomon, Cripps and Howson will be back this weekend to add some much needed height. The win in the derby was out of the blue, hopefully that performance can be replicated.

The colts had a fantastic win considering they had so many boys out for state duties and PSA commitments....5 debutants apparently with up to 15 guys being 15 -17 yrs old.....big ask v WP though, be interested to see how EF colts boys back up last weeks win.....good luck to al 3 grades......long way to go to lose!

Nice wrap of the coming game

EF are always a team that puts the wood to us ... a very fast and efficient ball using team

This week I have a feeling that much of Bills weekly training drills and ball movement techniques will finally kick in and with the type of player alterations to playing structure as last week - Lourey, Manning, Strjky and more, the replying set up for EF will be stretched and hopefully before it can be worked out we have stretched a lead :P

But if our boys once again go back to old sets, boundary hugs and sideways movement bbbbrrrrrrrrr .... BUT, the EF boys will have to still contend with the comeback kings hahaha B)

Looking forward to a good game of hard and tough footy, good skills by both teams and a not too distant score level from each other - close games are good games

I think man for man we can beat the Cardies, but they are the come-back kings. We just don't seem to bury teams when we have the foot on the throat and we always give the opposition a chance to win. Bit of a worry this game. :(

It appears the Perth Footy club were the come back Kings on Sunday from what I saw. Not impressed with EF effort. Won one qtr lost 3
I dont usually say this but I can see WP walking in next Saturday
Weather could be the main factor if EF are to win... Heavy rain forecast.
So not footy but just a slog.
Looking forward to the game.. Lets hope the BOM are wrong as they usually are.
Showers late they say so every goal will be worth 2 in the first couple of qtrs and WP dont have a good record there..
Our midfielders will win the game...

umm what ya drinkin Cardy

Perth cant be the come back kings .... unless they WIN :S

With the way we have played two of the four quarters this year its unlikely to be a walk in (my opinion Vs yours)... even with my prediction of the team improving on their ability to perform the way Bills plays direct this year (different than last)

And our mid field will likely give us an edge, but that's it, if they get the ball forward, not sideways or not to opposition..
The backs will have to be on their toes,
the wings and the forwards will win the game for us if the entry is clean and fast, rain or not.
Now if the Mids can do this clean and fast move for the first time - then Ill agree they went along way for doing it for us
lets see...

Now for EF ... The weather may inhibit what I see as your main influence in your games - speed.
I enjoy the way your players shift the ball in a forward momentum and we've seen this destroy teams - all that has to happen is its kept up??

That's the question

Let me tell you we're not quick.

Good to hear McGough get off as he'll be very handy in the wet.
Stevo a definite out.
Jupp in.
McNamara 50/50.
Schleicher should be good.
Dalzeill not until the derby.

50/50 game.

Fair call in some respects.. Look forward to your comments once I change tack or you do on the WP thread. Have enjoyed the EP win as you can see. Fark still high.
Dont run Perth down mate that was a great come back on Sunday and I was at the game.
Walked in towards end of 1ST Qtr an though it was going to be a 100 point win to EF.

Shit Perth proved me wrong... HA how often have you seen that this season.. Subi game comes back to haunt me... EP game haunts me with our bad kicking in first Qtr.. :( We should of been 5 goals up at qtr time.

What an incredible season we have BUT having said that if Perth can do that to EF I doubt they will win on Saturday v WP.

Ok EF comming off a short break as well and having the OLDER players that they do with a couple comming back just cant see them getting accross the line
I dont usually pick a winner against 2 sides but I am convinced we have the better mid field and Malaxos has his problems. WP has more depth and ability.

I wont have to eat my words because if I thought I WOULD I wouldnt say this.

If wet it could make a difference as the whole context of the game changes. I have seen EF in the wet at EF a few times and they do DOMINATE in the wet. (Must be being from South of the River) :cheer:
Bill will have to create a match plan for the conditions which is usually to play the Boundry and just move the ball forward... Not exactly the way we play the game but EF do have that ability as I have seen in the past.

Could be a battle of the coaches mate..

So many options and variables ... If wet..
We proved in the Subi game we didnt really handle the conditions but having said that neither did Subi.. I consider EF are a better wet weather side than Subi

Looking forward to the contest in all 3 grades and all should be GREAT G7 games.
Will be there for the Ressies going for 3 on the trot.

ps having a Bourbon..
