Sunday game this weekend, earlier start than usual, be interested to see which team turns up awake and raring to go.....could be a chance for Perth to jump EF and kick a few early goals. If EF are going to be a top 3 team they really need to put Perth away and with some intent as well. Perth and EF are usually close affairs, think EF has the wood over them of late, but you never know these days as no game is a gimme.

Hopefully EF mids can get of top early, EF defence can keep Morton under wraps.....is Stack playing?....whilst Hampson, Perham and Lester-Smith can offer some decent targets up front. Tropiano has been in stellar form this year, though EF inside boys in ROB, Scleicher and Boyle could keep their ex teammate under wraps....Trops is due a quiet one this year, amazing 30 plus consistency so far from the ex Gero boy.

The reserves surprised all n sundry with a win v SF, be interested to see if it wasn't a case of getting lucky or EF getting some of the second tier boys back in terms of depth. Reggie Jones has been missing of late, touch wood he gets a game against his old side. I see Lachie Dennis had a good game last weekend for Perths reserves, Spalding rates him and it was disappointing to see him suit up for Perth this year, but EF mid department has a pretty long queue at present, so good luck to Dennis.

EF colts will be working hard with 7 boys out with the state squad and another with Alcock cup commitments. Perth's colts seem to be hitting their straps of late so touch wood some of the newbie colts for EF can step up.

Freezin, you are right about the last few games being close affairs. However that won't be the case on sunday. You should win comfortably. If you don't then ????

Congratulations to Josh Cuneo & Julian Locantro on their EF debut today! McGough returns for his first game of the season. McNamara and Schleicher not playing - are they injured? Tremendous opening - 10 goal quarter.

as a WBD fan I really thought Perth were gonna do a St Kilda on me......obviously a great 1st quarter......kudos to Perth for not throwing in the towel......even though EF have had the wood over Perth of late, every win seems like a close encounter with EF coming away with the spoils.....gonna be a hard one next week v WP......Stephen get injured?.....

fingers crossed Locantro can be a success story like Williamson has been......great to see so many recycled players on both sides bobbing up playing some good footy for their respective new teams.....can see a few more Peel and EP second tier boys getting a second look at by other WAFL teams.....

Freeze, Stephen had a ice pack taped to the back of his hamstring after the game, so not sure what happened, but could be a hamstring?

I have to say, that I was really impressed with Andrew Stephen before the game. My 6 year old was the sharks mascot for the day (along with another youngster from Riverton junior football club) and while in the rooms before the game getting him changed into the sharks gear to run out onto the field, Stephen came up on is own accord and introduced himself to myself and wife, as well as my son. Seems like a genuine down to earth bloke. He also signed my sons football jumper. Well done to himself and the club, and I'm sure other clubs do the same with their districts too.
I think its important to keep this sort of thing going as it helps to keep the interest in the WAFL.

My wife also appreciated getting to see some "eye candy" as she put it!!

Have been disappointed with the attendance figures for this round :( , given the lovely weather over the weekend. Apparently only a thousand people were at the ground to watch this match.

Mothers Day may have played a part in that WAG. Also the early start time.
