Is a stupid rule, invented by the afl so that forwards can kick more goals therefore more Tv commercials therefore more money.
Push in the back is a free kick, hands in the back should be allowed like it was for a hundred years before.

And Yarran seems to kind of use his elbows or forearms from what I can tell, it's nothing more than clever body positioning. Some umpires ping him and some don't

that rule is rewarding players out of position.

Fair enough. I actually thought he was only penalised once. I must say if he was only caught three times out of the many times he applied forceful pressure to his opponents back, this would represent a very good return on investment.

Ah, I guess that explains why you didn't notice Yarran doing anything wrong. To be honest though, I was surprised myself with the disparity in the number of free kicks to us. I thought that we may have received more, but it didn't feel like 15 more.
