With the rookie draft only an hour or so away Jack Cripps appears the only current EF player in line for a rookie spot.......saying that a fair few delisted boys are in line for rookie spots and from reading the goss online around the various sites Cripps name is not at the top of the queue......touch wood the kid gets a gig, though would be handy for EF if he was available up front in 2015, especially if Howson stays healthy and continues with his commitment to play for EF in 2015.

Lucas appears to be on WCE radar, though TBH with all those mids they drafted last week don't know why WCE would go for him......reckon talls like Keitel, Cripps or Loersch or maybe speedy small forwards like Yarren or Miller-Lewis would be better rookie options. Saying that EF wouldn't have the dosh to entice Lucas even if he was available.....reckon a Subi or even Perth might flash their cash if Lucas is not rookied.

Good luck to any EF player who may get rookied today......though in all honesty whilst the money is great for the club be nice for a change an EF player doesn't disappear into the AFL ranks.......especially a 197cm tall as well!!

I reckon Subi are out of the running for him if he doesn't get rookied.

If the story is true about the VFL recruit on the way, then that's our points done and dusted.

You say that like it is a bad thing.

We dominated them last year by pushing them off the ball and now they will be forced to play one of the softest going around. They wont make the four next year.

No not at all, I much prefer the Bristow type of player

interested as to why Subi picked up Menagola then?......he is an outside player very much like Lucas, not known for his hardness at the ball, Menagola is purely a runner of the ball between the lines, nothing more nothing less.......

Disappointed for Cripps, though good for EF with his height.

Very surprised Keitel didn't get a rookie spot.....be interested to see how much league time he gets at EP with all those talls from WCE plus decent mature age local listed boys in Blee, Anderson, Smith and Johnson......I guess staying EP keeps him in an AFL environment and under the watchful eye of WCE.....though they couldn't of been that impressed with the kid if they didn't draft him in either drafts and he plays for their aligned WAFL club!

Surprised about Cripps. Good year with EF could see him go next year though

Is this the first year no one has been drafted?.
Might be a benefit for the club on field.

Lucas got rookied so I guess being an EF boy the club can claim him in a roundabout way......saying that it's nice for a change to be left alone......especially after losing Cripps, Marsh, Jansen and Aliir last year and Marsh, Simpson, Duffy, Paparone and Howson the year before........though financially the club wont be happy.

Hopefully Howson and Cripps can provide some height and goalkicking to EF forward line IF they stay motivated.....whilst Simpson is apparently knuckling down at training at Moss St........fingers crossed he can revive his career.

AGM on next week, so Custy I expect some feedback from your goodself mate......positive stuff as well in regards to recruiting etc please. Really kind of thought Anthony would of decided by now what he will be doing next year......in this scenario no news is certainly not good news as far as EF are concerned.......money talks and loyalty walks more often than not.....

.....though if Cl can make a loss of 90K?.....and sign Maister, Richardson and Swift, than surely EF can push the boat out for a player of Anthonys calibre......especially in the WAFL.
