Good little write up by Steve Malaxos regarding EF 1st day of preseason training.....in the process apparently of securing the services of Brennan, Anthony and Simpson for 2015. As stated elsewhere by another poster, Hardingham is staying in Victoria regardless of getting redrafted or not. Whilst Lucas is pretty sure he will get listed by another AFL club for 2015. Whilst other recruiting possibilities are under way and in the pipeline, with updates in the near future.

Malaxos outlined where he wants the club to improve for 2015.....better ball movement out of defence, improved midfield clearances more so around boundary throw ins and better goal kicking(7.26) Good to see some communication from the club so early in the off season regarding plans for 2015 on and off the footy field......with Dodd and Peake gone, hopefully the club can secure Brennan and Anthony.....from a speed factor through the midfield and forward line Simpson and his speed are a must.....whether he wants to play is another factor no doubt. Supposedly keen to reignite his AFL career through the WAFL in 2015.....time will tell I guess.

Freeze depending on what happens in this long running Essendon saga Hardingham might not be playing anywhere for a season or 2 in the near future ..same as the likes of Lee from WART & Gumbleton from FART!

yeah true BH........Port will be spewing if Ryder gets banned for a while as well.....Jetta also at SF maybe one of 34 on the wanted list.....

astro.....I remember reading a post of yours a while back saying that Menagola had committed to EF for 2015.....yet now he is a Subi player.....saying that wouldn't blame Brennan one iota going east to play some footy, the kid is only young and why not spread your wings and play footy else where.....Jamie Mac did it for 2 years at Williamstown.... I am sure if Brennan does come back to WA to play footy he will seek out EF first.....seems like a loyal sort of guy.

Anyway my post regarding Brennan, Simpson etc was only highlighting what Malaxos wrote in his spiel on the EF website.....whatever happens will happen I guess.....I will just have to keep nagging my mate, whose son is training with the seniors at EF preseason, about all the latest goss

For me Simpson is a must sign, EF lack leg speed and he and Richie Bourne could be quite damaging for EF up front in 2015.....also with Peake gone to coaching Simpson could kick 30 - 40 goals if he stays focused. .Dodd still could easily go around again.....also Anthony would be important to EF midfield.....but I guess it will be a loyalty v money decision in the end......whats the take on Howson?.....Cl bound still?

FFS, pretty pissed at getting pipped by the $cabbies of the WAFL world. If only we could find a sugar daddy out there.

Simpson if committed would be a massive boost and could yet get back in the big league for 2016.

Another good preseason write up by the club this week......this time from the fitness guru at EF......great to hear former Jack Clarke medallist in Jacob Green showing some good early signs for 2015......talented midfielder who wins a lot of the footy........also great to hear Howson training down at EF too........still a long way to go fitness wise with his chronic fatigue problems but atleast he is down at Moss St instead of doing his preseason work at the Cl show grounds........interesting to see where the likes of Anthony, Brennan and Simpson end up........sad to hear SF playing hard ball over a 16yr old junior who is an EF fan and comes from a family of EF diehards.......finally common sense prevailed in the end........but geez the kid is only 16.......
