Ok the most points at 3 qtr time is 29, by East Fremantle in the game mentioned in my review in 1917 vs Midland Junction. 22 points ranks equal 26th all time. The last time a team had at least 22 behinds by 3 qtr time was by Subiaco vs Peel Thunder in round 1, 2000. they had 12.23 at 3 qtr time and finished with 15.27!

You've obviously thought this out hicksy. So who do you think replaces Stavros? Maybe Mark Harvey? Maybe Mark Thompson is looking for a gig? I reckon Paul Roos might be thinking wtf have I got myself into with Melbourne, I think I'll take the EF gig. Other than that, who is there? And who is going to stop a team kicking 7.26 in a prelim? I'd like to think Stavros is safe for 2015.

Malaxos would not have anything to worry about. After a poor start, East Fremantle had a solid second half of the season. They kicked themselves out of the win this afternoon. Having the ball within their 50M arc a lot more than Subiaco, along with more scoring shots. They obviously did not practice goal kicking at training during the week.

Very simple...bad kicking is bad footy. 7.26 is just not good enough.

I watched the replay and only counted 5 rushed behinds. That's 21 kicked points - some from distance, most from very gettable positions. I can go on about them but at the end of day we absolutely butchered our chances and it cost us a GF spot.

Not sure what will happen with Stav...has served his 3 year contract out.
Micale, Woewodin & Mark Harvey all could be chances and I'd have any of them.

Liam Anthony & Hardingham could be in the gun, and Howson has declared he wants to have another crack at AFL so he will be a bonus as I rate him very highly. Won the 'A' grade amateur comp colts F&B from only 9 games and kicked 5 bags of 10. What will happen with Griffin? Will Freo keep him? He can't stand it at Peel & I presume Freo for that matter!!!

cheers for that Rock......whilst I'm in favour of a change, pretty hard on Malaxos after that result, reckon he would of had the job for life if it had been 26.7 kicked....good news about Howson if it comes to fruition, 197cm and a true goal kicker, is something EF has been crying out for over a decade.....probably 2 decades.....

Reckon if Anthony and Hardingham come back they could replace Peake and McGough in terms of experience and ability, especially if the latter two retire.Pity Tropiano moved on, because he would fill McGoughs shoes nicely as an in / under mid. However I really think Jake Schleicher could make that transition to league level, done his apprenticeship for 18 months in the reserves, consistently collecting 25 plus possessions as a big bodied inside midfielder.....just needs to be given a go IMO. Doddy is a big loss, unexpected TBH, looks in good nick, but I guess EF need to go out and scour for a mature tall defender to replace him.....would love either a Kyle Anderson or Nathan Blee from EP, but pretty sure those two boys are tied up for a year or two.

You say Griff is unhappy at Peel? he would be great to have back, because I really think EF have a cracker young ruckman in the reserves called Jack Fletcher, 197cm, state basketball background, been playing footy for 2 -3 years and his numbers got better and better over the last 18 months......having Griff to help him would be fantastic.... also Menagola and Duffy might be in the gun at Freo, though I reckon they all could be given 12 month life lines, as Lyon re assesses his Freo list...though Menagola must be pretty close to a thank you but no thank you phone call.

Gonna be a lot of reflecting over the summer from a lot of folk within EF.....too many what ifs of late(GF 2012 slow start, Foxtel and 2014 prelim point bonanzas) as the club tries to end their flag drought of 17/18 years....sheet has it been that long?

What happened to Howson and his grand return mid year? Played a couple in losing reserve games and went back to ammo colts. Lot easier there I suppose.

Observer, apparently the kid was still dealing with his chronic fatigue syndrome , he only played 9 ammo colts games this year. Hopefully he can right his body over time, sort as we can hope you can lift your levels of empathy to that of a human being......but like Howsons body one can only hope I guess.

Saw a fair bit of him this year actually and he seemed all good even won a colts award apparently with chronic fatigue, huge effort.

....huge effort in a lot easier comp .....fingers crossed the rest has done him the world of good then
