Another tough game coming up, Subi are a class act with some dangerous collection of talls and smalls. Have EF played their GF in that stirring come from behind 9 goal last quarter last Sunday?......considering the umps bias, dung heap advantage and EF vast experience, I like many of the SD fans are astounded to think they left it to the last stanza to win the game.....my gut feeling is that SD either choked under the pressure of having a prelim so close to the grasp or that EF were messing with SD until the last quarter, than stepped up and put the young ducklings to the sword when the game was there to be won......which ever way one looks at it...... EF live to fight another day.....kudos to SD on their fantastic season.

Subi definitely have the height advantage up front and in the ruck.....thank fark Aiden Parker has retired, because then Subi would have quality height up back too! the likes of Perham, Lester-Smith, Peake, Young, Chalwell(if fit) and perhaps the inclusion of Chartres up front will all need to be on the money goal kicking wise for EF to threaten Subi on Sunday. Up back EF will be reliant on their big guns in Dodd, Stephens,BOB and Howlett to be on form....with lesser lights in Jupp, Read and Dorotich(?)or Bayliss(?) to be close and tight .......Boland, De La Hunty, Yarren etc are all class acts and will hurt you big time if given space and freedom

Mid wise both sides look even, EF mids were taken to the cleaners last sun by SD mids, thus hopefully with Jamie Mac back EF can gain some early ascendency through the middle. Saying that Bristow, Horsely, Hilda and Phelan have been strong contributors all year for Subi. From a pure on paper perspective Subi do seem to have more options up front to get the job done, EF on their day when they aren't donning their skies or snow boards need a good start to put Subi under the pump early on.

Hopefully EF can prevail and win their 30th flag.......interesting to note in EP first season with the alignment back in 2000 they met EF in the GF........could be a case of de je vu again if EF get over the line on sunday......good luck to the Subi boys and the EF boys, hopefully the game is a good un and the true WAFL supporters turn up in their numbers for the very first G7 GF.....

a good overview freez...i guess the umpies will have to go back to being neutral now that they have eliminated swans by their open favouritism towards EF. As for this game, Subi's forwards went missing for most of last week with the exception of Delahunty and Boland to a lesser extent. The Deluca's, Yarran and Waters will need to have greater impact if Subi are to get over line. Our back 6 were very good and mids broke even with WART but our forwards were disappointing. Dodd always gives us trouble and Stephen is a very very good player. If we have an advantage I think it's in our back half who certainly punched above their weight against WART and I would think will give a good account of themselves against your forwards. Should be a good game and if we get the business done, will be celebrating our first premiership since 2008.... I might have to take a sickie on Monday.

Great news! Shark cull has been canned. Been replaced by a Lion cull on Sunday! :)

I think if we can be accountable and apply pressure to there mids it will go a long way in restricted Subi's forward supply. Most of our mids were down badly last time we met and for long periods last week so I'm hoping the boys with JMac back in the fold we can get the job done. With the weather looking fine our delivery into the forward line needs to be precise as we will be eaten alive if it's bombed in.

I'm under no illusion how hard it will be for the Sharks to win the G7 decider against Subi. One good quarter out of the last eight is not premiership material. My only hope is that they get on a roll early and maybe get some scoreboard pressure happening but Subi are a good team who will keep on coming no matter what. Watching these teams two weeks ago I thought Subi had the poise and edge all day but only got reward in the last quarter.

Hopefully the Sharks will prove me wrong. And can somebody tell Tommy Howlett that he needs to kick to the guys in blue and white. He's been plagued with simple turnovers the last two weeks so his luck has to change starting Sunday.

Give it your best Sharks and who knows, we might be G7 premiers by Sunday night.

I just posted this cos been out watching rock n roll at the Charles tonight so had a few. Plus I wanted to rave on about my 50th post. Yes, I don't sit on here all day banging out posts like some as I'm just not that witty. Hopefully there is one Shark out there who thinks we have a chance of winning the most important game of the season today. I hope the Eagles tossers enjoy spanking the monkey next week when they win the WAFC grand final. A proud moment in the WAFL history indeed. Good luck to both teams this afternoon and no matter what I will support either of them against those scum sucking oxygen thieves next week. Go you Sharkies!

All the best mate... I feel we will be beaten in the Reserves as CLA have bought a lot of good players back and on paper they look the goods.
Will stay for the real WAFL GF.. Seeya all there.

Just a touch after three quarter time and what an extraordinary score line.
I don't think we've seen such a large number of minors scored in a finals match previously?
