Well he we are, last round of the year, amazing to think EF first game v WP of the year was months ago, seems like only last weekend........well Puppy you were certainly on the money regarding EF current form, good to see the team finally cement their spot in the finals mathematically.........hopefully the team can keep building some momentum this v Subi for the finals.......SD will no doubt come out the other side ofthe bye a team with a new mind set.........Subi are a class act and on paper look the better side out of EF and SD in regards to height to challenge EP......be interested to see how this game pans out.....Subi are coming off 2 consecutive defeats......though Cl & SF are probably the two form clubs of WAFL right now........interesting to think if EF win on Sun, and Subi were to lose the 2nd semi, who ever plays Subi in the prelim will be playing a side currently in the middle of a 4 game losing streak.........

Great to see EF have 13 different goalkickers v SD........would still love a Boland type targetup front though........good to hear the likes of a Chalwell do so well last game.......Subi's forwards will definitely challenge EF defence, Waters, Boland and Hampson are all in the top 10 goal kickers this year with Yarren probably sitting at 11th.......good couple of games for EF to be involvedi in prior to a finals campaign.......a win is definitely possible, though Subi will be just as keen to enter the finals with a win rather than 3 losses.

The reserves are lucky EP and Cl are playing this weekend with the loser surely to come agonizingly short in the last round of the year.....,..Subi reserves are hot faves for the flag, rather EP make the reserves semi instead of Cl......reckon Cl reserves would go very deep into the finals if they make it....

The colts have hung in there during the year, hopefuly Foster can build a team around the likes of Bennet, Snadden, Gittos, Parish, Klebbe, Cronan and young U/16 s acadamy tall Luke Strnadica for next year.......lots of games given to 15/16/17 yr olds this year.......hopefully this short term pain will prosper with some future success....though very surprised Subi's colts arent playing finalsthis year.......good luck to all 3 grades....

So who do we congratulate at the WAFC for scheduling two fixtures at Leederville Oval this weekend? From what others have said previously the oval becomes a mess when it rains so it will be interesting to see what shape it will be in for the league game on Sunday after five previous games. Can't be as bad as the showgrounds though.

I believe we may have about 6-7 goals to play with in terms of holding onto our percentage over sd...would be great to get a home final

can't believe bayliss's run with injuries...out again...really rate him highly

freeze
the colts are probably the youngest in the comp and only lose about 4-6 to seniors next season
I remember sd went thru something similar with a very young group and look at them now

Totally agree strono re: the colts, been a tough season but from what I have read and folk have emailed me , Foster has a few fellas to build a team round for next year.....a good one......who knows time will tell I guess.

Yeah Bayliss is cursed at present, touch wood he hangs tough and gets the due reward.......bad injury this time?

I think our backs can contain Subi's dangerous forwards and our mids and forwards have combined all year to kick goals. It really will come down to the midfields where this game is won or lost.

Both mids have been playing well. Subi's forwards have been down the last few weeks with Boland not getting a sniff !!!

I think it will come down to which forward line is more functional as in the last two games Subi's opposition has beaten us up forward and hence they've lost ??? Should be a nice tough, tight game. Subi have been beaten by an opposition forward getting multiple goals the last few weeks with Saunders killing us last week - if someone can BOB up for you in that department then your a big big chance.

East have a bit more to play for while Subi will be steady steady waiting for next week, trying to get some run into players comming back and making sure there are no injuries and all players get through - Hence East to win by a sharks eye lash ???

I hope the ground isn't in to shit a condition ???

I heard one of the 91.3 announcers say it may also broadcast the game - hope so. I wouldn't knock 88FM, but one of their callers is pretty hard to listen to.

Is everybody still at the game that finished almost three hours ago? Well done Subi - far too good for a woeful Sharks team that will not challenge anybody in the preliminary final even if they are fortunate enough to get past Swans next week (and I seriously doubt that after what I saw today). I wish Subi all the best in beating the oxygen thieves in the second semi. All jokes aside, you are the only reasonable chance of giving that scum a contest and as you are a certainty to make the grand final I might even go along just so I can support a proper WAFL club and abuse the spineless twats and there oh so feral supporters. And watching the ABC telecast yesterday, my god they are a colourful bunch. That is such a polite way of describing that lot.

Quite honestly, I can't think of one positive out of today's performance - maybe the umpires bouncing the ball as they were very good.

And please, nobody come on here and say neither team really cared about the result as that is rubbish.

Ordinary game in perfect conditions. We were horrible!!! Subi put it together in the last.

The only shining lights for us were Brock (outstanding), Jupp did an excellent job down back, Eardley was solid and McGough never stopped, and that was about it. Rory had an ordinary one. Dalziell played HF all day??? not sure what was going on there. The ever reliable Stevo made mistakes. Tommy Howlett turned it over every 2nd possession and to make matters worse JMac come off in the last qtr with what seemed to be a shoulder. We got smashed across half back!!! As much as Perham & Chalwell got ball they're not big bodied players. We need to be precise when going forward and that just didn't happen today. Gee we were bad!!! J.Bristow didn't play and could be an answer at CHF. Lester-Smith has now had 2 solid games in the ressies and could come back in.

Anyway we had a shocker & held onto a home final. We need to re-group beat Swans and you still never know.
