big game for EF in terms of securing a finals spot.....big game for SD for securing some winning ways prior to the finals......both sides look good on paper, SD with a few more scoring options on paper......Dalziell back is a plus for EF, always gets a lot of the footy and kicks the odd goal or two per game. SD defence are pretty mean, hopefully Tyler Chalwell will show BH, all my fan fare for the fella, is not just hot air.

Big game for the reserves also.....must win TBH, pretty tight with Cl, WP, EP and EF all seeking wins to secure a top four spot.

Colts will be doing well to keep SD to under 10 goals in terms of a winning margin.

EF have had a good season to date given the losses to their depth due to the alignments, winning 8 of their past 11 games. Given the recent poor form of swans, EF should be reasonably confident of winning this game. The one question mark against EF is their record against the teams currently in the top 4. EF have only beaten Subiaco once in a very wet game & have failed to beat the others. This game & the following match against Subiaco are important to gauge whether EF are a genuine premiership contender or just making up the numbers.

Spot on pup.

IMO EF's team is as good as we'll get. Snuffy in the ressies needs to pull his finger out and that would be about it.

I think we can beat SD who have been in some ordinary form. This week and next weeks game against Subi will go a long way to gauge whether we can push for the flag. Subi have now lost their last 2. Interesting times ahead.

Should be a high intensity game, and interesting to see if Harding and Stavros are willing to show all their cards before the first semi..I hope our guys try and just play it like a final
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

You beauty another day out at the Shark Pit unless you beat Subi by a lot of goals but cant see that...4 is pretty well set in concrete.
Hopefully?
Only problem is if WP ressies play Subi at Medibank as EP v SUBI League on the cards and they could join the 2 will have to got to Medibank and then over to EF oval :(
Will see how it goes... If WP ressies lose to Perth and EF wins v Subi (which I doubt) it could change... Will have to wait and see..How the reserves pans out

If Subi win by enough next Sunday we can still take third and the home final, hopefully Subi can win by 30+..even though we don't deserve our spot in the 4 atm

Good point Swandog.. 2.5 % appx margin so doesnt seem like that much
Brings a bit of interest into the game as well.
not sure how the % works but sure you are right with your 5 goal win to Subi?

Last time they met at Medibank EF won in a close game. Should be close one considering form of both sides and Subi will want to comeback after last 2 losses.
But having said that Subi have 2nd pretty well sown up anyway so might be wary going into finals with nothing to gain by a win. There percentage is well out of reach of EF.

Should make for an interesting game with EF wanting a home final.

EF will be playing you again in elimination game the week after and will be reasonably confident... They will then most probably play Subi with some confidence as well... Could be a Finals of the 2 Easts...
But I am getting ahead of myself because Finals are a different ball game as we saw last year.

All the best to all 3 G7 Clubs... :)

Cardy, Subiaco would have to beat the Sharks by around 40 points to bring their percentage below Swans, so if Subiaco won 120 - 80 say, the first semi would be at Bassendean .My bet is that East Fremantle are playing well enough to prevent this and may end up beating the Lions anyway

Sounds like EF got lucky with all those SD injuries.....only way EF will beat Subi next week is if they do a SF and think its a dead rubber like SF did on Fri night.........SF have looked awesome since their season was mathematically dead and buried.........amazing what pressure....or lack of it in SF case..... can do to an individuals mind set.......

good to hear Tyler Chalwell have a good game, hopefully his performance will do his confidence the world of good and he can keep his spot for what ever season EF have left. Subi's defence is as mean as SD, so it will be a good test of the young mans character.....saying that after 3 years of reserves footy I reckon the kid needs some reward for persistence and perserverance......would love to see Jake Schleicher get a game next week......

Freezin, Best game I've seen chalwell play , used the ball well , competed in the air well, needs to work on below the knees stuff a bit.
Eardley seem to play across half back a bit against Swans and rebounded well I thought. Bayliss I think got injured before half time so mayby Eardley could take Bayliss spot if he doesn't,t come up and Schleicher could slot into the midfield rotation, seem ready made he looks like a quicker version of Mgough to me ,it would give them another big body to feed dalzeil Macnamara and co or mayby allow Dalzeil to spend more time forward.
Also Lester Smith looked good coming out of defence in the ressies game a couple of times with his speed, probably to late for experiments now but he would worth a try in that position next year IMO.
